You will love your stay here!
This area is located right in the middle of many fun places yet it is still private and very peaceful. It is a beautiful location.
We have enjoyed many family reunions with great memories. We have also enjoyed snowmobiling, cross country skiing, hiking, bird watching, hunting, fishing, white water rafting, and just relaxing with a movie or book. It is a great place to spend time getting to know each other better as a family.
Plenty of beds and bathrooms. The kids had a blast playing in the yard and around the porch. My wifes mom and dad had thier own room and loved it. Went to Yellowstone one day, to Jackson another, and across the street to the resevoir a couple of days to play in the water. We would definately stay there again!
This cabin was perfect for our group of 7 adults and 3 children. Owners called the Monday before we arrived and said the one bathroom had a leak but they were trying to get it fixed but it may not be usable. Was all done with new flooring when we arrived. The covered patio was perfect with a large table and barbecue grill. Most of our meals were eaten there. Everyone had their own space to spread out and the bedrooms were large enough for all the hunting gear. Would stay again.
This was our third time returning to this charming cabin. The bright colors are easy to spot from the road and help guide us there. There is plenty of parking - we went with four other families and had plenty of room inside and outside of the cabin. My family was in an upper room, towards the back of the home which was very spacious. There was plenty of room for kids on the floor. There was even a book where we tucked our toddlers in. There was built-in cabinetry in our room, with blankets. All the bedding and blankets were clean. The location of the cabin is great! We were able to spend a day on Palisades Reservoir and a day in Grand Teton/Jackson. The "city center" of Alpine is close so we could pop over for groceries we forgot and grab Subway sandwiches for a picnic at Jenny's Lake. As a side note, we did cell reception.
We had four families stay in July. Ages from 9 months to 79. My mom stayed in the middle bedroom so she had the least stairs She said her bed was comfortable and she slept good. It was very warm weather but all bedrooms had fans and all had comfortable beds. The lower rooms were cooler and middle bedroom was on cooler side of the house so kept cool. Of the two upper rooms both had doors with screens you could open and it cooled good at night. The warmer room also had a fan with water to keep it cool. The house was probably better stocked than most we have stayed in. Lots of towels swim towels, toilet paper napkins tin foil Saran Wrap and many spices. We did bring extra paper towels and used them. We also brought our shampoo and bar soap but they supply starter supplies. They have coffee and filters and 2 griddles...we brought 1 and didn't need too. We ate meals at the house alot together. Oh yes they have a nice gas BBQ out on the covered deck. We set up the card table on the deck and ate most evening dinners outside as it was cooler and beautiful. The evening sunset view is lovely and peaceful. Our grandkids loved seeing and feeding grass to nearby horses. We also brought fixings for somemores and had at least 3 campfires while there. You will find some spiders in the house but we can tell you coming from central Oregon with black widows the ones here are not poisonous. We paid out grandkids a nickel if they found a spider. They found a few. Most homes have some. Our daughter that arrived 3 hours before us said there was musty smell downstairs when they arrived so she opened doors/Windows right away to air out and that helped. We didn't see any mold. I am thinking possibly running fans could suck up Oder from the drain pipes??? Truthfully it was a good house and a good price and a nice small town close by. The fellows had good fly fishing in the Greys river near by. Jackson and the Grand Tetons are a nice drive from the house. To get up into some of the northern places of Yellowstone was a bit long of a drive for young kids(4, 6 & 8). We went there 2 days The house has games and puzzles and a nice TV for indoor relaxing time😊
We had a fun reunion at this cabin. It was very clean and had lots of space to spread out. It was centrally located among the things we wanted to do---Jackson, Afton, water activities. It was a very peaceful place with no close neighbors and beautiful views. It was stocked with the basics for cooking and had a wide variety of board games and puzzles. The kids loved the decks and playing in the yard and field. The management was friendly and easy to work with.
We absolutely enjoyed our week long stay at this house. It was so peaceful and very relaxing. The views from the house are amazing. There was a lot of room for the whole family, 7 of us. The location is great, 30 - 40 minutes from Jackson. We found mule deer in the area each morning, my dad spotted 7 mountain goats on the surrounding hills as he stood in the drive way. The morning of our departure, we had a bull, cow and a calf moose together right in front of the house. We took pictures of them for close to an hour and didn't get further than 20 yards from the house. The house was stocked with all the essential stuff you would need and the small town of Alpine is right across the river. Your not far from anything you would need but the house makes you feel like your isolated from everything but nature.
We are looking forward to staying here again and I recommend this beautiful house to anyone looking to get away and relax.
It is in a great location, 40 minutes to Jackson Hole and 55 minutes to the East entrance of West Yellowstone. The cabin is located on 5 acres, surrounded with mountains and trails to hike yet still close to the city for groceries or incidentals. A beautiful location in which wildlife is often seen from the deck. There is a private road to the cabin with plenty of parking. A fire pit is in the front which adds to family fun and good outdoor cooking. This is a very relaxing place to unwind and enjoy a vacation. Snowmobiling can be done right from the cabin along with four-wheeling. There are nearby rentals for boats, jet-skis, horseback riding, snowmobiles and bikes. Jackson Hole is a great shopping spot with many other activities.
