Guestbook comments from the owner

PLEASE note until this current review of 2 stars all previous ratings have been 4 and 5 stars. The bed has been addressed and recently exchanged. As for toilet paper, it is difficult to predict a guests need. I will instruct my cleaning person to leave an extra 2 rolls in each bathroom. I do apologize for any inconveniences you experienced. Also, stay was booked NOT under the name of the person making the review....hummm.

Perfect Place for a Family Christmas Gathering

  • 5 of 5

While the place was great for a family Christmas, it would be wonderful any time of year. It is a very peaceful and the weather cooperated so we had snow for Christmas. Mary was very accomodating and at the last minute let us come a day early since we were concerned about the amount of snow that was predicted for the day of our planned arrival. The place was decorated for Christmas and the kitchen very accomodating for preparing a large holiday meal. I have only used VBRO a few times but I must say, I have never received my cleaning deposit back in such a timely fashion.

Very close to Lassen Volcanic National Park and Burney Falls. Grocery store, pizza, and gas 5 minutes away. Great location, spacious house in the woods. What more could you need. We had a fantastic time. Thank you so much!

Wonderful house!

  • 5 of 5

We met our son and his family from Idaho and watched the grand kids while our son and his wife went to a wedding nearby. There were 4 adults and 2 kids (5 yrs., and 2 yrs.) The space was perfect. the kitchen was roomy crowd friendly. :) We didn't know that we should have brought paper towels, napkins, and garbage bags with us. This was the first time we've done this sort of thing. Although the house had a few games for kids, we should have brought more play toys for our kids. There wasn't a lot for them to do. They did enjoy walking around the front yard finding treasures. We were only there 1 full day, so we weren't able to visit any surrounding areas with the little one, but the scenery was enjoyable. We would stay at this property again.

Nice home, however, can use some attention.

  • 2 of 5

Ran out of toilet paper in both bathrooms. The downstairs bed in the small bedroom was extremely uncomfortable for the couple sleeping in it. They had to pull the mattress off of the foldout couch to add to the bed just so they can stand sleeping on it. Otherwise we enjoyed the rest of our stay.
