Guestbook comments from the owner

Good Morning…

I am trying to get back into the swing of life after such a wonderful stay… I am trying to open this to give my remarks but it will not let me so hoping you get this..

Your cabin was absolutely awesome… What a beautiful place… So quiet and it had everything we needed to prepare meals/cook outs for the family. The kids enjoyed exploring your yard alone, not to mention Lassen having snow in July! The setting was awesome so quiet and homey…. We could have just moved right in and never looked back…. Thank you for having such a wonderful place an sharing it..

Excellent stay

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful settings in the pines. Perfect for my family that came to visit from the East Coast. Beds were a bit hard but otherwise the accomadations comfortable for us. We had a small pit fire in the front and roasted marshmallows. Close to Mt Lassen and also enjoyed the Wild Mustang Ranch. I have a 3 year old who loved running around outside. We would stay there again.

Awesome Place!!!

  • 5 of 5

My first impression of the cabin was breathtaking. The cabin is really clean and very well kept. We had a large group and everyone had their own space to relax. The kitchen was definitely the center of attention through the cabin. The best part is that it is only 20 minutes from Manzanita lake in Lassen Volcanic Park. The owner is really nice and responsive. I would definitely stay there again.

THe cabin was everything that it says that it is..

  • 5 of 5

This cabin allowed us to do all that we wanted.. We had family bbq's, went on Mt. Lassen more to explore, it was quiet, it was like being home away from home, grand kids loved exploring the yard. We played board games, and talked, roasted marsh mellows... and celebrated 3 family members bday's... Cabin was clean , caretakers were great and helpful. I would do it again!

Enjoyed the stay

  • 4 of 5

The house is well maintained. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all good.

One thing which we did not like was, there were rat droppings inside the living room. That should have been cleaned.

Guests can fall sick if its not cleaned properly.

As there is no cellphone signal around that area, WiFi in the house would have been helpful.

Overall for the price it was a good place to stay.

Owner's Response: K.A., Thanks for your input. The pest company was called on June 16th, the same day my cleaning Lady reported this issue to me. They are addressing the situation. As for internet, it is available complements of the tenants in the guest house, this information and password are indicated in the listing. Cell service can be a challenge when you are vacationing in the pines, but is available just 2 blocks away on the entrance to highway 44. There are a couple areas on the property that I am able to get a AT&T signal. Wifi is also available at 2 eateries in Shingletown and the library of course. Thanks for your review. Mary

Great Weekend

  • 5 of 5

This is the first time my family has spend a weekend in a cabin together. The cabin and the area were beautiful. The bedrooms were good size. We used the fire pit and spent an evening outdoor, the weather was lovely. The kitchen was setup for what ever you might need to cook with and with island it was a great family hangout. Thanks to such a great time our family looks forward to doing this again.
