This property is very unique because of its rich history, its been in our family since 1956 and has weathered countless storms, without flooding. It was fully renovated just after Katrina which you will see in the fine details that has been put back into the property. Additionally, we used some of the finest furniture in our Guesthouse and all of the bathrooms are marble finished and the kitchen has granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances . We've invested countless hours in the restoration because we are committed to our community and we are proud homeowners in it for the long haul. The guesthouse was perfect for our stay in New Orleans. It is close to restaurants, bars, and the campus. Caesar was a great host and I look forward to staying again on my next visit.
It is a great location in a beautiful neighborhood. I am definelty staying here again next trip to Nee Orleans.
This property was really nice. Although it was small, it had everything that you could need in a cottage. It was plenty of space for 2 ladies. It was extremely clean when we checked in. I was most appreciative that the owner allowed us to check in early since our arrival time was so early. WiFi worked, cable TV worked, seamless check in, comfy beds and best of all great location walking distance to restaurants and the Daiquiri shop, can't beat that.
The owner was very accommodating. I had to message him because the cottage had a musty smell and my youngest daughter has bad allergies. He was very willing to move us to another location but I decided it would be too much of a hassle. It was a great location and I'm sure he has already taken care of the smell.
I hesitate to write a really good review because this is my home away from home when I'm in New Orleans. Fabulous neighborhood! Street parking if you have a car or you can walk to the street car. Run to Audobon Park. Wonderful restaurants in walking distance. Apartment is small but comfortable. Cesar is very responsive to any questions or concerns. I love the Cottage. Shhhhh... Well kept secret
Pros: fantastic location, easy parking, felt safe, attractive decor, quiet property. Good value in terms of meeting our needs for convenience, dog-friendliness, no stairs and laundry. The cons are all about maintenance: loudly leaking kitchen faucet, the ceiling fan over the bed was too loud to use because it was unbalanced, the window a/c's were too loud to use and the other windows didn't seem to open. I'd be happy to stay here again in the winter, but the other 9 months of the year, I'd want to know that these items had been fixed. Wifi was iffy. Oh, and I don't remember seeing a futon in the bedroom, just a chair and the queen sized bed and there's a sofa bed in the living area. The unit is fine for 2 people, maybe a child on the sofa bed but hard to imagine more than that.
