TÜRALIHUS - Baroque town house with a striking stair tower
History & Information
The present appearance of the Türalihus goes back to the last extension of 1775. The tower was raised and the interior decorated stately with magnificent paneling and making furnaces. On the second floor, which forms the third the upper apartment, there is a grand, south-facing room. It is equipped with two-colored paneling and a cube furnace. In back of the house there is another paneled parlor with rich paintings, which serves as a new dining room. On the south side of the attic there is a room and a secondary chamber, which serve as a new bedroom. In the small room next to the kitchen, a bathroom was installed, which invites you to linger.
responsible for the renovation were the architects Ilanzer Capaul & Blumenthal. It was necessary to preserve the original structure and the unique character of the house: worn stone steps, blackened bodies in the old kitchen, painted paneling and stoves in the rooms still bear witness to the builder time. The restoration work was followed by a strictly conservative approach and can be tagged with "courage to fragment" rewrite. The modern fixtures in kitchens and bathrooms and contemporary furnishings prove be as well to connect old and new.
After removal of a crumbling coarse broom throwing plaster from the 20th Jh. Came fragments from five different versions from the period 1465-1775 to the fore, which illustrate the complex construction of this house in an impressive way. Maintaining the juxtaposition of different staggered versions became the guiding principle of the facade restoration carried out between 2010 and 2012.
The Türalihus is a monument that has been renovated with great respect for the existing substance. The tenant is aware of and meets the object with care. Furthermore, although technologically equipped contemporary, do not comply with certain functional details now common standards and pose a possible safety hazard. These circumstances are known to the tenant. The owner, e-domizil and the foundation Ferien im Baudenkmal disclaim all liability.
