A two acre pond is ready for canoeing, sitting and enjoying watching herons and a variety of birds, or feeding the resident Mallards. There are miles of hiking trails in the woods on this 50-acre property, from moderate to strenuous. Every season has its gifts, from summer festivals and craft fairs to fall color, winter holidays at the Biltmore House, and spring blossoms. There is an Amish Market (bakery, fresh eggs, and other goodies) next door...across the pasture.

The mountains of Western North Carolina, near Asheville, are one of most beautiful and relaxing places in the world, if you exclude pulling weeds.
The views from the 50+ acre property and lake are wonderful. The birds, horses, goats and other animals are a joy to behold.
When one rents a cottage in an area where there are no hotels and it is a farm - one may not know what to expect but the cottage was lovely and much nicer than I had even expected! Upgraded and well done - the most difficult part is getting there - Chuck gave good directions but I am not use to country - and I do mean country - small back roads and hard to see signs - and I was trying to find it in the night so that made it difficult! But we did find it and it was very nice - comfortable beds and welcoming ambiance!
I would definitely go back- I had to leave in a hurry as Hurricane Mathew was bearing down on my home in Florida and I needed to get home quickly!
Thank you Sarah and Chuck!
First of all the accommodations are great. Everything was clean and well kept without feeling like a resort. Location is not far from Asheville yet it is secluded quiet and peaceful. Easy access to a number of state parks and hiking trails. You can be on the Blue Ridge Parkway in 5 minutes. Our hosts were nice and provided a vast amount of info to make our stay pleasant. Dog friendly aspect was important to us. We started discussing plans to return before we departed.
Very nice and beauty, and we can see the people of the entire community care about nature and animals, as well is their hospitality.
Very peaceful place, and everything is close to the property .. including going to down town, and Sierra Nevada.
Beer everywhere... all flavors and sizes ... we notice all restaurants have beer and many do their own... but all family type, and we did not see drunk people not either scandals. We are invited to come back, to the same house, and finally enjoy the glass of wine with Chuck and Sarah. Hope they enjoy the gift Bottle of wine we left at the dinning table.
Thank you very much. and see you soon
Had a nice time here. Great for our dog and hanging with the goats was a lot of fun. The walk to Troyer's market is quick and easy. Great little store. Easy drive into downtown Asheville as well.
My family and I had a wonderful stay at Moores Pond Farm. The home, itself, was nicely accommodated, clean and charming. The farm was the added bonus. Chuck and Sarah were very friendly hosts, allowing us to wander about on the farm, feed chickens and enjoy the view from the pond while hanging out with their little tribe of goats, cats and even a friendly guard llama. We were just a quick jaunt into downtown Asheville, where we enjoyed great restaurants, breweries and local shopping. We would most definitely stay here again and recommend it whole-heartily to anyone looks for a peaceful, natural and relaxing getaway. *Ask first, but the chickens love fresh watermelon rinds for a snack.
Nicely kept little house on a farm beautifully set in rolling hills. Accommodating hosts and friendly goats! An easy drive into Asheville or surrounding area.
