Your hosts are Matt and Lou. We've traveled all over the world and know what makes a comfortable place to stay.
Matt purchased this house in 2007
We loved the house and knew it would make a great place for out of town guests to stay. It took over a year and a lot of work to restore the original charm of this comfortable house. We live and work in the area and think it has a lot to offer someone who wants the comfort of a nice hotel, but the charm of a house.
We love the quiet and comfort of the home and enjoy spending time there when it is available. Bernalillo is a town with a lot of history. We have lived in the area since 1986 and believe it is a great place to stay while discovering New Mexico.
This VRBO has everything you would want while staying in the Albuquerque area. We were traveling with friends and stayed a couple of days here. Enjoyed all the sites and had the best dinner at The Range Cafe just across the way from the house. This Casita is conveniently located and the owner a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this VRBO to anyone traveling to the area.
My husband and I stayed for 5 nights and it was the perfect spot to enjoy the Balloon Fiesta as well as Santa Fe, Albequrque and other New Mexico sites!! We took advantage of everthing the casita had to offer from the comfortable beds, two televisions and the washer and dryer. The place was clean, comfortable and charming. My only caveat is be very careful leaving the bedroom as there are two brick steps and I tripped several times in the middle of the night on the way to the bathroom...I kept forgetting about them.
My wife and I have stayed in various casitas/cabins throughout northern New Mexico and Colorado. This is by far the best one we've stayed!! Very quiet neighborhood, next to a New Mexico icon, the Range Café, it has been restored to perfection to please the guest and still feel the charm of northern New Mexico with its proximity to Albuquerque. The closed yard was perfect for our dogs. We will definitely stay there again when we visit the ABQ area!
This is a great place to stay! The cozy bungalow has been completely renovated and has everything needed for a relaxing vacation. Although the Range Cafe (same owner as the bungalow!) is across the street, the kitchen is fully equipped for meal preparation for two or more! But also go to the Range for a breakfast or dinner and you won't be disappointed! We love having a king sized bed, the two terraces and the comfortable living room. Since we spend a good bit of our time hiking, we love the location, closer than Albuquerque to the Sandia and Jemez mountains. The owners were very available to answer questions or help with anything to make our stay more pleasant. We'll be back soon!
My cousins and I had the most relaxing and wonderful stay in Casa De Pancho during Balloon Fiesta.
Such a lovely property, tastefully decorated and a super plus is that the famous Range restaurant is
right across the street! We enjoyed several wonderful meals at The Range during our stay in Bernalillo. The four of us were very comfortable. We enjoyed the walk in shower, modern kitchen appliances, washer and dryer, kiva fire place etc.The kitchen was also well stocked with everything needed for making a few of our own meals too. We had plenty of everything we could possibly need including soaps, shampoos and firewood. A great location also. Getting to the Balloon Fiesta was quick and very easy, plus Santa Fe is just minutes away.I highly recommend Casa De Pancho and must say that Matt is a very kind and helpful host. We want to return very soon !
Description and photos of the Bernalillo Casita were accurate. Owner/Partners (Matt & Lou) were accessible and helpful...........though we had no "special requests" during our 7 night stay. We noticed and appreciated many "little amenities" present for our use inside the Casita that we have rarely seen in other rentals. For us, proximity of the Casita to THE RANGE CAFE accross the street was a VERY BIG PLUS; and we found the food, libations and live music excellent in every respect. Nearby proximity to excellent golf (Twin Warriors, Santa Ana, Cochiti & Sandia) and the Santa Ana and Sandia Resort Casinos met our expectations as well. The only caveat for us, because we were accompanied by our small dog, was that the nearest "patch of pet friendly green grass" was the Rotary Park located 4 blocks from the Casita; and "Cali" (our dog) was tormented throughout our stay by some type of small "brown burr" which invariably attached itself to multiple places in her non-shedding fur each time we allowed her feet to touch the ground both inside the brick-paved fenced area in front of the Casita or even in the graveled parking area adjacent to the Casita. If you aren't accompanied by your "furry friend" when you come to Casa de Pancho, you will likely be VERY HAPPY with these thoughtful and security conscious accommodations as we were. Located two blocks from Railrunner station, steps away from world famous Range Cafe. Library, grocery store, post office, galleries are walking distance. Tamaya Resort, soccer fields and Santa Ana Casino are 5 minutes away by car. Bernalillo is a quaint, historic New Mexico town with a small town feel. Bernalillo is considered the gateway to Sandoval County. Some of the most scenic and beautiful areas are located nearby.
Hiking along the Rio Grande is 5 minutes away, or be up in the Sandia Mountains in minutes. Lots to do and see in the area.
