Sweeping views of Morro Bay and the Rock from the deck and hot tub. Steps to the spectacular estuary preserve. This spacious 2 bedroom home is surrounded by the estuary and 24 acre Sweet Springs Preserve. Walk around the Bay to Baywood for a spectacular sunrise or sunset. 4 miles from Montana De Oro with sweeping vistas, horseback riders, hang gliders and surfers play on its miles of beaches and trails. There is so much to do for those who appreciate the unexploited California Coastal experience. Travel by Kayak across the Bay to the Dunes. The home has been recently redecorated and updated, but not remodeled. The cabinets are oak and the counter tops are tiled. If you are looking for high end modern, this would not be the place.

Los Osos is on the Central Coast of California - halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Hearst Castle, Morro Bay Harbor, Avila Hot Springs, Wine Tasting, Golfing and Shopping are minutes away. This house is ten minutes from San Luis Obispo Airport. Family-owned and operated.

Nature Lovers have found paradise.

I woke each morning before sunrise, took a steaming cup of coffee 30 steps to the Sweet Springs Preserve to watch the sunrise on Morro Rock, then watched the eagles and egrets forage for breakfast as the sun came up. Once things calmed down a bit--I went back for a second cup of coffee in the hot tub, and watched the birds come to the bay by the thousands--from the hot tub. Later in the day we took the kayaks out on the bay, saw great blue herons resting on the shore, and walked the dunes that were untarnished. This part of the central coast is the only truly unspoiled landscape. This is truly a one of a kind place. It is so nice to find such a comfortable nest in the midst of such natural bounty.

How do I like my coffee? With egrets and eagles, of course. What an incredible find

I woke before sunrise every morning, walked out the door, to a menagerie of egrets, waterfowl, even a bald eagle having breakfast over my head. Don't sleep through this magnificant spectacle, just steps from your door. My toes got a bit chilly in December, so I slipped into the hot tub once the morning sunrise dwindeled .to daylight. This place is one of a kind.

Tranquil, relaxed, and clean!

I have to thank Kye who was very helpful with providing local places that allowed dogs since the preserve no longer allowed dogs. She went out of her way to offer several recommendations of which the dogs loved! Most of all we enjoyed the super clean house, relaxing on the deck taking in the beautiful view of the bay. The fence around the back deck needs to be replaced, but it didn’t interfere with our stay. We will return!

Quiet, serene, and beautiful!

This is our second stay on the property. We love looking out on the bay from the deck. Lots of wild life. We sat and watched three young deer as they ate, laid and slept for a while, and then went off into the forest next to the property. We also seen deer that were mating in front of the hosue. Many varieties of sea birds and several eagles and vultures. The home is spic and span clean and very comfortable for a nice vacation from chaos. We love this place.

Location and price were great

We enjoyed our stay for the location and the price and basic features. However, having to hand wash the dishes when there is a non-functioning dishwasher is silly. Non-potable water is not satisfactory. Yes, we had bottled water for drinking. A simple filtering system for the house would make it a ton better. The patio is lovely, especially the view, but the fence around the yard is about to fall down. These are easy fixes. The bedrooms were huge and very comfortable.

Perfect Location

We were looking for a central location between Cambria and SLO. We needed a home that would allow well behaved pets. This felt like a home away from home! We visited CalPoly as my daughter has that school on her list to possibly attend! Great community! We spent a day in Cambria shopping for antiques! A birthday dinner in Morro Bay! A hike in the mountains!The view from the house is beautiful! Morning coffee each day out on the deck!

Bird watching in the winter is spectacular from the deck, or from Sweet Springs preserve just steps away.
