Guestbook comments from the owner

Richard,

How do you express your appreciation for a wonderful and relaxing week in the most beautiful place by the sea, gardens with story book pathways, and yet still be within walking distance to best that Ogunquit has to offer. It is rare for reality to meet expectations, and yet, yours do that and more. There is no more relaxing place to be and yet still have the opportunity to meet new and wonderful people restaurants and art galleries and be in Ogunquit.

Thank you and I hope to see you soon,

Quaint cottage so relaxing just what a Chef needs period!

  • 5 of 5

To be able to relax after such a busy lifestyle in a kitchen.... this little comfy quiet cottage tucked away on a private road really hit the spot.

Tranquil to the tee..... birds/ mother natures animals & the weather was all so perfect on our getaway you couldn't ask for more.

Thank you Richard & your hospitality... you are a very nice gentleman & look forward to seeing you again! Cheers

Charming, but Tiny

  • 2 of 5

While cottage is cute and it beautifully landscaped, it is very small. It was difficult to function in it, (we are not "big" people - we are both average height and thin). We couldn't really prepare any meals because it has very limited counter space and no storage space. Only 2 bath towels were provided and there wasn't a way to hang them so they could adequately dry (just a hook, but no way to spread them out to dry). Also, the cottage was not as clean as we would have liked. However, we love the town of Ogunquit and it's beautiful beach.

Perfect Summer Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Pine Rock from July 29th - August 5th 2017, and had a hard time saying goodbye! The cottage was beautiful and a serene beginning and end to each day. We saw a family of birds living in one of the bird houses, a woodpecker, chippies, squirrels, and even a tiny frog. It seemed like there was something new to discover each day. We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning and wine in the evening. Richard was a fantastic host and has a keen eye for detail, and we loved the little artistic touches in each room. We would love to come back and visit this gem of a cottage next year!

Just Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

What a perfect cottage for our 40th anniversary getaway! In awe, pretty much sums up our impression of this beautifully decorated and tranquil "jewel" in the woods. We admired the craftsmanship and design that went into creating this special retreat, both inside and out. We stayed for a week at the end of June and didn't want to leave. Morning coffee on the deck was the best, watching the birds and chipmunks and just enjoying the beautifully groomed shade gardens. We looked forward to coming back each evening after a day of sightseeing. The location is within a short walk to the trolley and local restaurants in Ogunquit. Restaurants we enjoyed...The Egg and I and The Roost for breakfast, Jake's Takeout, Congdon's Doughnuts, and The Lobster Pound to name a few.

Richard was a perfect host. He welcomed us upon our arrival and had a surprise waiting in the fridge and fresh flowers in every room...a lovely touch. Thank you for sharing your "beautiful place by the sea"! PS Enjoyed your music library, too!

Cozy, quiet cottage, close to everything, perfect place to unwind!

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at this cottage for a week in July. The cottage is adorable!! Tastefully decorated and located within walking distance to Ogunquit town center and the beach. We started each morning, coffees in hand, on the deck watching the birds and chipmunks. So peaceful and relaxing that we didn't want to leave. There is no TV in the cottage, which gave us plenty of time to read and just enjoy some quiet time. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our vacation! I highly recommend this home and Richard is a wonderful host! We definitely plan to stay here again in the future!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the kind words. The cottage was created as a space to reconnect with nature and to forget about the outside world. Therefore, there is no lawn to be mowed but winding pathways around woodland gardens. I am glad you liked this little bit of heaven. Richard
