If you like the water this is the place for you. Tube, canoe or kayak or fish right from the back door. Enjoy the hot tub after a long day of playing on the river or play pool and listen to the jute box in the lower level man cave. And of course there is feeding the deer from the back yard.
Looking for a romantic get a way… Enjoy your own private Jacuzzi overlooking the river or a quite fire in a screened in lanai with a swing bed.
The screened in lanai features a large fireplace with 360° views, 10 feet from the river.

First and foremost, I echo what many visitors said about the owner Rick Fitzgerald (Fitz). He was VERY accommodating, very friendly and tried his best to make the stay a memorable one. However, I never got the final directions or instructions on how to get to the cabin , etc.....because he sent that info via text to my home phone (land-line). So, when we got there we had to call him to get thru the gate and then call him again to actually find the cabin!! When we got there it was apparent that the cabin needed a better cleaning. The kitchen counters were "sticky", the oven and stove top was very dirty.....even the front of the fridge was in need of a good "wipe-down". The toilet in the downstairs bath (at the bottom of the stairs), kept backing up so we had to "plunge it" several times as well as pour draino down the sink in that bathroom and the sink in the upstairs bathroom so it would drain properly. Finally, the statement that it sleeps 12 is just a little mis-leading, as one of the bedrooms upstairs has a full bed and then 2 twins that have "roll out" trundle beds underneath them. If you rolled out both trundles there would be absolutely no room in that BR to walk around!! We had to re-locate the 2 trundle beds/mattresses from the upstairs to the basement (Man-Cave) so we could separate some of the folks that needed a bed to sleep in!! Fitz helped us move those 2 beds down to the Man-Cave......again, very accommodating and very friendly, but we were disappointed that we had to do that at all!! Overall, it was a very nice stay and it was GREAT having both daughters and all 5 grandchildren all together for the Xmas holiday. The pool table and Jukebox were BIG hits (no pun intended), and once we got the sleeping arrangements set-up, I think everyone had a good time. We just think that Fitz needs a little help in the cleaning and getting the cabin ready for the next visitors portion of the rental scenario. Plus, there were 2 TV's that were the old CRT type models that weigh a TON, and we ended up trying to switch one of those old TV's out because we thought the first one was bad..........man those damn things are heavy!! Turned out that one of the cable boxes was not working properly, so we found one that wasn't being used in the MBR downstairs, re-located it to the BR upstairs, and got the connection working!! Cabin is down an unpaved, dirt road, and the actual driveway is pretty steep. Hope this helps!!
We stayed here for a weekend and it couldnt have been more perfect! Rick was very kind and helpful and the cabin was easy to find. The jukebox and pool table were a big hit. The property itself was very spacious, with a large group there was plenty of personal space. We plan to return again!! Thanks!!
We've stayed in Coosawattee several times but this cabin by far exceeded all the others. It sits on the river and has room for 12, tubes, a canoe, a rope swing, a fire pit, jacuzzi, and a game room with pool table, juke box, and flat screen. We also had deer out front each day. We thoroughly loved our stay and will return. The owner was also nice and easy to work with. He stopped by when we were loading up to leave and talked with us about our stay and what all we did. Looking forward to coming back in the summer to use all the fun toys.
This was by far the best decision I made. I rented this cabin for 2 nights. The location was outstanding. Mr. Fitzgerald has a great place. I loved how it was out by the river.
This is the most fun we've had in a long time. We went on a girls getaway it was about 10 of us in and out over the weekend. It is such a beautiful house! We loved floating in the river, using the hot tub, playing pool, and loved the jukebox! There is plenty of room and such a beautiful view. It was soo peaceful and the owner was very helpful. We will def be back and can't wait to do it again! Reasonably priced and soo worth every penny. Thank you Rick for sharing your beautiful home
My family and I (6 adults and an infant) spent a week at this property. We had plenty of space, the basement area was awesome for all with a pool table, jukebox and a tv. Outside is setup perfectly with a fire pit and access into the river with fishing rods and tubes made available for us. We had a great time and would recommend this house to anyone looking for an awesome country vacation location!
