About the property

Dear future guests, we ,my wifeSuphannee, my son Chatriand me Michael Möller, are pleased that you are interested in our new home here in Northeast Thailand and our services. In early July 2010, we have our new building here in Ban Chan, a more village- embossed suburb of the city Udon Thani , based . A year later we have the creation of a small wooden house (we have it, " Moller House " christened ) began , which was ready for occupancy in May 2012. Actually, it was meant for our close friends from Germany and Thailand before we decided , this idyllic home also offer other visitors to the northeast Thailand region , called Isaan . The house stands on 12 pillars (1.20 m) and was built with legally acquired Thai real wood . The living area consists of 24 square meters ( 20 square meters Bedroom , 4 square shower / toilet) and a two-sided wraparound porch of total 36 sqm. The property is nestled in a tropical garden filled with exotic plants, trees and shrubs. All further details of interest are stored in the object data of this offer . In Isaan , agriculture is the dominant sector of the economy , however, due to the unfavorable climatic conditions, the yields remain below those of the rest of the country . Therefore Isaan is the poorest region of Thailand , but has caught up in recent years . Example of this is currently the most prosperous city in Thailand , Udon Thani with about 240000 inhabitants. Here you can get everything you are used to from home ( we only look for a bread slicer for 2 years to no avail) . The prices of local products are incredibly cheap, whereas you have to pay significantly more for imported goods. Udon Thani has an airport ( direct flights to and from Bangkok , Puket and Chiang Mai ), a train and two bus stations , hotels and restaurants in every category and price range , shopping centers and supermarkets, International Hospitals , Christian churches, a large number of banks , day - and night markets , nightlife, car and motorbike rental , golf courses , horse-racing , football stadium, commercial and freely accessible fishing lakes and , and, and ... Udon Thani and hereby also our home is the ideal starting point for many excursions . Firstly, there is the village of Ban Chiang . It is located about 50 km or an hour's drive east from the guest Möller . Economic importance and the past, people lived rather poorly by the meager harvests of rice fields and plantations around . Now is tourism, which is attracted by the sensational finds from the Bronze Age , the main source of Ban Chiang . This leads inter alia to many "original findings " are sold in amazingly real reconstruction in the surrounding villages on the main road . History Until 1967 , it was assumed that Ban Chiang - like most other towns and cities in the surrounding area - about 1820 had been settled out of Laos . And since that time there have been reports of findings and evidence : bones , ceramics, metal tools. 1966 did the Americans Steve Young Archaeologists in Bangkok attention to the site . Come to the fore sensa -tional findings , which indicated that the area was inhabited nearly 6000 years ago and a highly developed culture housed in two campaigns ( 1966-1967 and 1972 ) . It was only in later excavations enough organic material could have been obtained for radiocarbon dating , whereby the beginnings of Ban Chiang in the second Millennium BC have been re- dated. Fine ceramics with spiral and ribbon ornaments , stylized plants and animals and natural clay pots with elegant shapes and imaginative patterns (eg, wave pattern, leaves, thumbprints ) were discovered. They are among the oldest pottery patterns of the earth. The greatest attention was given to dig through the Bronze Age tools , which are unique in Southeast Asia. If the original date has been confirmed , then the Bronze Age would have begun ( in parallel with the development in Mesopotamia ) at the time of European Neolithic here . The similarity of patterns and colors between the finds at Ban Chiang and those in Mesopotamia is amazing. Findings were in the 5th Century AD are detected , then the residents are apparently gone. The sights Ban Chiang National Museum - there are archaeological finds show shown (with English explanations ) with dioramas, the excavations and the former life . Near the museum is an original discovery site . 1992 Ban Chiang was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Secondly, you should not miss that for (about 25000 inhabitants) Nong Khai visit about 60 km south of Ban Chiang located small town. This is located on the Mekong River , which is the country's border with Laos at the same time . About the 09 Opened in April 1994, Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge , there are only about 25 km to the Lao capital Vientane ( as you should go if you are ever in the area ) . Obtain visas best before , but there are also " by- arrival" . CAUTION and take into account when planning vacations ! ! ! Upon arrival in Laos will expire before traveling to Thailand to Germany or visa issued at the airport in Bangkok . For re-entry to Thailand from Laos coming a re-entry visa will be created , but this is only valid for a stay of 15 days in Thailand. Conversely, it is also a shoe . If the original visa only briefly (1, 2 or 3 days) is valid, the possible length of stay extended. A few tips for staying in Nong Khai . French Quarter , from the Lao colonial era , the atmosphere of street cafes and retailers has received to date. Wat Pho Chai, the golden Buddha statue ( approximately 1.50 meters in height ) is called Luang Phra Sai , wall frescoes tell the adventurous story of Buddha statue of the temple. Wat Phra That , Laotian architecture , probably 2000 years old and built by Indian monks ( about 20-30 km outside the city). Wat Putau Gong Maa ; Chinese temple with animal statues and colorful kites . Wat Thung Sai Mee , ( on the outskirts towards Friendship Bridge ) . Mekong promenade with views to Laos , several guest houses, restaurants , bars , shops and temples ( Wat is the largest Lamduen ) . Phra That Nong Khai , the core of a large sunken in 1849 in the Mekong Chedi (opposite the Chedi at the end of the promenade , visible only in the dry and hot season when water level is low ) . Sao Lak Mueang ; shrine for the good spirits , which protect the city . Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge ( border crossing ); 1774 meter long bridge over the Mekong , connecting Thailand with Laos . Prap Ho Memorial , erected in front of the Town Hall to commemorate the defeat of the uprising of the Ho in 1886. Sala Kaew Ku , about 5 km outside the city. A park with more than 100 giant Buddha statues and other sculptures from the religious subject area . Something quite different from the actually repetitive Buddha Temple . THIS MUST BE SEEN (we were already more than 10 times there) ! ! Tha Sadek Market ; Indochina Market, an interesting covered market at the level of the Mekong River waterfront . Goods from Thailand , Laos , Vietnam and China are offered here. SOLID ROCKET during the full moon in July. Explore nature in the Mekong ; boat ride (some with restoration for all types ) from Tha Sadek . And for the angler as the highlight of the holiday perhaps the catch of a Mekong giant catfish ? More information on the internet of course . Regarding the arrival and departure, we are very flexible with the exception of overlapping occupancy times . Here then is the set occupancy . Language barriers ( in the sense of speechlessness ) it is determined not to give . We speak German , English, Thai , Laotian and when our son, who attends the high school class of Vithes Suksa Bilingual School in Khon Kaen comes home on weekends , he can contribute to the conversation a little French , Chinese and Japanese. We see our services not only for economic reasons , but especially under the aspect of being a good host . We want to have placed our guests during their stay in the house Möller warmth and convey the feeling to be part of our family. You should feel comfortable and with all questions and problems have always insightful and helpful people . These are not insubstantial words but a promise that we will comply and provide daily proof . Your family Suphannee , Chatri and Michael Möller

Ausgezeichnete Unterkunft. D+V

Location

Tambon Ban Chan is a not-too-big place with many small shops and has its village / rural character largely preserved despite the proximity to the city of Udon Thani.
