On a private road surrounded by tall trees, our house provides an incredibly quiet and relaxing setting. Even still, there are supermarkets, department stores, fine dining, world-class golf and spas within a 5 minute drive. This Lindal Cedar Home is very well-built and provides year-round weather protection; there is never a draft even in the most violent winter storms.
Cool breezes, starry skies, fantastic clouds. Went pier jumping in Petoskey, Elk Rapids Harbor Festival, rented a pontoon boat on Torch Lake, Sleeping Bear dune hike. Loved morning tea on the deck, shooting stars while sitting by the campfire, family surrounding you and memories to hold on to. We're from Maryland and we loved learning about Michigan - first visit and exploring this area. Such rugged beauty combined with kind hearts and welcoming ways. A terrific time!
The location was gorgeous, and the home nicely maintained and equipped. The owner was very helpful in supplying us with info about the area and certainly easy to work with. From the fresh Michigan produce to the beautiful sunsets we enjoyed everything and hope to come back again.
The Walsh Family
We loved the Sunset Beach house. The sunsets were glorious, the beach wonderfully sandy, the water warm and clean, and the house itself very well equipped and handsome. The location was ideal--close enough to take advantage of Traverse City but away from the busyness. Highly recommended!!
The cottage is better than described. Check-in and check-out was very easy. The rooms were very clean and in good condition. Other than a shop for kitchen basics, we had everything we needed. The beach/water access was perfect,. Wonderful views of East Bay and very private. We would highly recommend this beach house to our friends and vrbo clients.
We really enjoyed the Sunset Beach House! The house was great, the view spectacular. Located in a secluded area it was very quiet and peaceful. Family members kayaked and hung out on the great deck and landings. Although there is a fire pit on the beach we ran out of time to use it. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans, dishes and glasses. There is a grocery store a short drive from the house. We had a great brunch Saturday morning before our son's wedding. I am sure this place is enjoyable all year round. Thank you, Tim, for your assistance and hospitality.
I had the pleasure of meeting Tim, the owner upon arrival who walked me through the house. Great guy and very attentive when I did have a couple questions. The property is located in a great spot, very tranquil and removed feeling. We didn't see another person on the lake or around the whole weekend. The property itself is awesome wirh the multi level deck and of course the beach. We spent most of the time at home outside. Inside is great too, plenty roomy for ten adults and fully stocked with everything we needed for the weekend. This was a guys weekend and it was a blast. Would definitely stay again!
We had an amazing time at the Sunset Beach House - it was even more beautiful than the pictures! It was the perfect place for a wonderful weekend getaway. We loved the beach firepit and had a great cookout on the huge back porch. Tim was awesome to work with. I'd recommend this house to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay near Traverse City.
