Our family lives nearby on the east side of Lake Sammamish. Born and raised in Alaska, we've found this large lake offers us all the scenery and tranquility of being in the woods, with the convenience of city life just minutes away.
The Owner purchased this house in 1999
Lake Sammamish offers boating sports, kayaking, swimming & fishing. Just 'being' near the lake with the light reflecting off the water is magical. Whether you're fogged in and curled up with a good book or movie or the birds are singing and sky is cloudless, this quiet little spot is a special place.
Why stay in a cookie cutter rental home when you can enjoy the views, water and serenity of the Eagle's Nest Cottage.
Centrally located to shopping, restaurants, Microsoft and other employers. Plus, we're on one of the best lakes around. Sammamish is much warmer and less windy than Lake Washington.
This is a great house with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy time with family. The view is incredible and the lake area is awesome for swimming and hanging out. The kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you need including lots of things for entertaining (perfect for our Fathers Day BBQ). We have a toddler and the house had a pack and play, booster chair, step stool and toys (so nice to not have to bring all that with you). The driveway was probably the only thing I didn't love but you get the hang of it after a day or two. Would definitely recommend this house and hope to stay here again next time I'm in WA!
We stayed here in the winter time for 16 nights while we were having work done on our house. It was a great find. The house is nicely decorated and well-stocked and the views of the lake are amazing. Even in the winter, the lake is great to watch in the rain, the sun, the fog and all in between. We spent a lot of time on the dock watching the water and the sun and fog and looking for eagles (and there were several). It was fun to watch the regulars water ski and fish in January. And one day I even enjoyed watching a sea plane practice take offs and landings! We all wished it was July and so we could play in the water too.
The house is cozy and comfortable. Even though there are quite a few other house close together, the house feels secluded and cabin-like with a huge deck and trees. There are two living areas so plenty of room to spread out and hang out. The kids loved the upstairs bedrooms and the three bathrooms made mornings easier than when we're at home. I loved the large dining room table and the functional kitchen. We really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen: good variety of spices, oil, vinegar, flour, foil, plastic wrap, even storage containers for left overs. And this is the first VRBO house we've stayed at that had a decent set of sharp knives. It really was a pleasure to cook in the kitchen.
Although the house has lots of baby items for those who need them, the two upstairs bedrooms are up steep flights of steps. I would have been nervous with little ones, carrying them up and down or those still learning to navigate stairs. My kids 7 and 11 LOVED the stairs and the rooms and I had no worries with them. There are small plastic cups, plates and bowls as well as pack and plays, baby gates, etc. These are nice not to have to worry about when travelling.
We're hoping to convince family to come and stay during the summer so we can enjoy being in the water as much as we enjoyed looking at it. I highly recommend the Eagle's Nest!
I could not have been happier with the outcome of our family wedding/reunion. We had a niece who was getting married in Washington. Most of the family is from the Seattle area. There were several of us coming out from the East coast so was wanted to book a home large enough to accommodate the families. The house was PERFECT. The two “A-frames” make it unique - We had the kids – 6 teenagers - in the one side of the house and the adults in the other side of the house in the bedrooms. The view from the loft bedroom and the decks were amazing! We had a visit from an eagle every day! The kids swam, waterskied, tubed, wake board and jet skied. We had two family dinners that included about 25 people. Thank you for the perfect vacation! The washer and dryer were an added bonus. The driveway .....believe what is said about the driveway.....nothing like it!
We loved this place!!! This is a great three bedroom home. Very comfortable and had all the necessities we needed and more.
The view is amazing..... We loved just relaxing on the decks with a bottle (or two) of wine. It was great to see all the action on the lake. One moment we'd see a water skier. The next we would see a Seaplane take off or land. We even saw a few fish jumping in the water. The home is very clean and cozy! Everything you need is provided. Many different areas to relax downstairs. The bedrooms were cozy. Every room has a view. We brought our three children. 11 year old boy, 3 year old boy and an 18 month old girl. Everyone was easily entertained and the home even had a high chair, porta crib and booster seats for them. Fantastic!
Lisa the homeowner was great! She was always very prompt and available to us whenever necessary. We are already looking forward to booking our next trip to your home sooner than later.
I highly recommend this home for your vacation to Bellevue, WA.
We had 3 family's coming from various parts of the country to celebrate a "one year birthday" and this was a wonderful alternative to putting everyone up in a hotel. We had 3 nights and 4 days to interact with our family and enjoy one another in a very beautiful spot. For two of the days they got to experience REAL Seattle weather, as it rained/downpour-ed solidly. This house was so roomy and comfortable that even cooped up in the rain there was enough room for everyone to feel relaxed. The last full day was nice and we had a blast with 2 jet skis. The dock area with the patio area was a great feature. Lisa was great to work with. Everything was very positive and helpful and she was very gracious when we forgot some of our things there. Upon arrival she had replaced the gas grill with a very new, large and expensive grill. She made sure there was plenty of fuel and we had so much great grilled food that weekend. Highly recommended !
Lisa is great to work with. We were looking for a rental while repatriating the US from China and needed a place to call home for a few weeks before we found our own house. Lisa was very helpful especially being 5000 miles and 12 time zones away - it made it so nice to have someone so organized. Even when we had some questions during our stay, Lisa was quick to respond and help.
The house is laid out to keep the family togehter and allows for privacy as well since the bedrooms are seperated. We were there in the winter so we couldn't enjoy the lake other than to watch the beautiful sunrises every day. That did make our son a little stir crazy since there's no real yard to run around in, but the patio is large and there are parks and trails nearby.
The house is fully stocked with everything you could need (including spices, coffee, etc) which is nice so you're not having to go buy things just to throw most of them away at the end of the week. Plus, if you do run out of some staple, the grocery store is only 15 minutes away along with other shopping. Seattle is about 25 minutes away and since the I-90 is't tolled you can go across for free vs being in Redmond and having to use the 520 bridge.
Overall, this is a place I would have no issues recommending to others or renting again myself.
Central located along W. Lk. Sammamish Parkway, between Hwy 520 and I 90
