Thank you for a lovely stay at the Palms. I appreciated the non toxic cleaners, natural bed (similar to my deluxe Land and Sky mattress at home), the filtered water system, solar system/renewable and great location. I especially appreciated the property manager bringing a blender over when there was not one in the cupboard. Thank you again
Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. The location was very nice. The property is on a quiet street, and was incredibly clean. It was thoughtfully set up, and they even left beach towels, laundry detergent, and salt and pepper. All in all I would recommend the property, but there were a couple of tiny issues that I would have wanted to be aware of before booking. My real main issue was, as is obvious from the pictures, one wall of the property is all windows, which seems amazing. However, there are only very sheer curtains on most of them, and in the bedroom there is a large window with no curtains at all. While this might not be an issue for some people, it was frustrating that it was not disclosed. If you want to sleep in on vacation, you're going to be out of luck as it is very bright in there at 6am with no way to block it out. Additionally the bed was quite hard, but this could easily just be personal preference. We actually had to go to target and buy a small foam topper on day 3 or our 7 in order to sleep acceptably for the remainder of the nights. Overall this is a great property, but by the end I have to admit I was ready to leave simply because I wasn't able to sleep well.
The home is very clean and comfortable and the management team were professional and a pleasure to work with.
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. We absolutely loved the place. The home is sleek, modern, clean, and very comfortable. We loved the floor to ceiling glass windows that brought the views of the outdoors inside. We thought the home was in a great location. We were able to walk to Rose Avenue, Abbot Kinney, and Santa Monica, which is a relief in a city where you mostly need to drive everywhere. We highly recommend this place and would stay here again.
This contemporary unit was delightful, and the perfect refresher that we needed from our busy lives. The outside deck runs the length of the house and is magical with the palms and hummingbirds. There are lounge chairs and a sofa and bistro table and chairs. The kitchen was nicely equipped and instructions were easy to understand. We have traveled all over the world, and the mattress was comparable to the best. I wanted to bring that mattress home with us. Wow! The shower brings the outdoors inside, with the full glass panel with a view of the bamboo outside and river rock in the shower. You won't be disappointed. They even supplied black washcloths for removing makeup, and there were fresh sunflowers on the counter. Attention to detail was perfect.
This place was amazing. I used it as a writing retreat for a week and it was everything I had hoped for. The house was oriented east/west such that there was always tons of light flooding the entire house. The indoor/outdoor space and fireplace were fabulous. The Whole Foods was a five minute walk away. Abbot Kinney/Venice Beach was a twenty minute walk (or a super quick bike ride). Would definitely stay here again.
