This farm is a successful sojourn in green living, sustainable architecture and learning to live in harmony with the surroundings. It is an artist-owned home, with an eye on the the area and an ear to the heartbeat of the land. The photo shown is of us in our driveway. The view is in the background.
The Owner purchased this farmhouse in 2001
Long summers and happy childhood memories of the area inspired the purchase of the farm.
Views, views, views. Sometimes, we just pinch ourselves because it is so beautiful here.
This is a charming farm house with an impressive kitchen fully stocked with Le Cruesets and other necessities for making dinners and entertaining friends. It's miles away from a proper town with light pollution so the stars are breath taking. The wood stove is effectively warm and the radiating heat on the second and third floors is brilliant. Lucky for us and other guests isa access to a wonderful record player and some classic vinyls such as the Smithsonian Jazz collection. The sound system took a minute to figure out (mostly we had to, at random, try each button until we could hear the record play) but once we got it going, it was a delight to wakeup to and cook with.
Half of my company wanted the house because of its unique cedar hot tub. I was relieved to find we didn't actually have to feed it logs of wood to get it warm, rather just turn the switch and jump in. It is a small tub and cannot hold more than 2 adults (3 if you're very slight : ). regardless, my friends loved it!
We had a lovely stay (8 of us) - all coupled and all with more then enough room to sleep with fresh linens and comfy supply of pillows. Couldn't have asked for a better place to lodge and use as basecamp to see the catskills in peak fall!!!!
My Family and I came up for Labor Day weekend (this place was available as a last minute booking). The house is clean and the pictures are accurate. I would definitely stay here again. Two things to note about this place are the house uses Well water, which has a fair amount of sulfur and smells a bit funny, but its still clean to shower with, we ended up buying water bottles for drinking. The other thing which i wish the house had was a fire pit, there is nothing like roasting marshmallows. The host was very nice and very responsive to our needs. Even emailed to find out how we were doing half way into our stay. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here.
This is truly a special place, blissfully quiet. It’s not that far off the main road, and is a sanctuary for reading, listening to Nature’s subtle orchestra, and watching the sun rise over several mountains in the Catskills.
It has a fully appointed kitchen with literally anything you might need. During the day, the house is flooded with lovely natural light. At night from the screened-in porch (during the summer), we watched the yard come alive with fireflies. Tranquil and magic, is the Full Moon Farm.
We delighted in the local summer farm stands: tomatoes, berries, peaches, pies and cheeses. Do this.
The owners are a pleasure to work with: gracious, fabulous, communicative, helpful and straightforward. We rented for a weekend family escape and we'd would love to come back. Thank you so much for helping us create a memorable family holiday.
Came up here for a weekend with friends and had all these plans to kayak, hike, climb, etc but were so relaxed and comfortable, we barely left the property. Got caught up on reading, made meals in the superb kitchen, did some hot tubbing and sunned ourselves on the stone patio, which hosts a large and pretty garden. We managed to walk to the creek on Main Street and back for a swim which was memorable. Nothing like swimming in real water. The hosts were great to deal with. They got back to us fast with all our questions. We'll be back.
Me and 7 other friends rented the house for my birthday weekend and couldn't be more happy with the find! Great location, beautiful home, comfortable, and quiet. We had a blast getting away from the city and checking out the local spots. Angela was really kind and so quick to respond to my emails. My friends and I loved it and I had the perfect birthday weekend!
A quiet retreat from the city in a lively home. Set on a beautiful landscape. Spacious enough to have some privacy even when in a group. Absolutely recommend.
