Why Maritza Budet and John Winkler chose Greenport

John and I chose Greenport Village because of my love of antiques and wonderful 'unspoiled' older homes, while enjoying an innocent and simple quality of life in the Village. John's love of all things in or near the water.. boating, fishing, swimming... fresh seafood....The Long Island Sound and Peconic Bay made it a simple choice with countless activities to enjoy.

Paradise- and owners think of everything-deserve more than 5 stars!!

  • 5 of 5

Maritza and John are the most thoughtful and wondferful hosts- it's a joy to share their amazing home! The apartment upstairs is clean , comfortable and cozy. Beds are super comfortable. It's even more charming in person, then the pictures portray....if that's even possible. Kitchen is fully stocked, everything from pots and pans (even lobster pots), to serving dishes, to wine glasses, etc. they have aniticipated any guest needs and gone above and beyond. Little things like a brand new sponge, toothbrushes and toothpaste, toiletry items you may have forgotten (shampoos, conditioner, lotions, etc). A very nice hair dryer is also available. Bath Towels are big and fluffy and they also have anything you would need for a family traveling with children (high chairs, booster seat , baby bjorn, etc.) and they have beach chairs and beach towels. The farmers porch is a lovely spot to sip your coffee or have an afternoon snack and glass of wine. A short walk into town for all kinds of restaurants and shops. The owners are full of tips for wineries and restaurants, and are so welcoming and friendly. They went above and beyond for my Dad, giving him a bottle of wine for his birthday. It's those extra touches and genuine warmness, that made this so special. Would highly recommend and would love to rent here again. It was just lovely. Thank you John and Maritza!

What a treat!

Wonderful apartment, perfect location. We stayed here with two small kids. Space was much larger than photos. Steps from beach with playground, short walk into town. Could not be happier.

Lovely cozy home away from home.

  • 5 of 5

I visited with a girlfriend and we loved the home. Everything anyone could need was provided. Beach right down the road and home close to the ferry to Shelter Island and the Hamptons. The two living areas was a nice plus. Great central location to enjoy North Fork. Only negative might be that the shower is small. Vrbo's high service fee added to rental seems unnecessary. It should be optional instead of automatically added. Added $40 a night to the rental cost shown when booking. I would highly recommend overall.

Quiet and Charming!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this charming, old house! It is beautifully decorated, very clean, and the location is awesome! It is minutes from a beach and the village of Greenport. The homeowners were responsive and left information about local restaurants, wineries, etc. which was helpful. We highly recommend this quiet and quaint spot!
