Second Stay at Mickey's Hideout
We loved this vacation rental so much that we planned a second 2019 vacation! And we'll do it again in 2020, I'm sure! I've already written one raving review about this place, so I just have a few things to add.
-There are ample beach towels provided on a shelf in the garage. So packing bulky towels is not necessary.
-Our stay was for two weeks so we brought the kids' bicycles. They LOVED riding around the safe and quiet neighborhood.
-We were there the last week of Nov through the first week of Dec. We went to Typhoon Lagoon waterpark two days because it was so warm. I say this to encourage you to get in the pool at this house! The spa gets Hot and feels sooooo good after walking the parks all day (and carrying 40lb 3 year olds). We had cold days too, but we still got in.
Finally, I had zero complaints in my first review, but noted a few details that were slightly less than perfect. I wanted to make sure my review was completely honest and nothing in this world is completely perfect. Well, those slight (and I mean barely noticeable and didn't effect our vacation in any way) issues were individually handled! Shower head worked beautifully, they installed a caddy for toiletry storage in the shower, and there are new stylish, comfortable chairs in the living room! So now my "con" list is empty. Maybe vacation perfection actually exists!

Everything was just as promised. Took about 15 minutes to drive to Disney with the traffic. Wal-Mart close by for necessities and Mickey ears. Our kids really enjoyed the pool.

Amazing Disney week!
It was one of the best houses I've stayed in!!! The neighborhood has a waterpark, but we could never get ourselves to leave the amazing backyard and pool. Super close to Disney and all of the fun!

We had a great time at Mickeys Hideout! Plenty of kitchen supplies, lots of space and loved having the private baths for each room. The kids loved the private pool and the water slides at the clubhouse. Great location for quick Uber/Lyft ride to parks. Would definitely stay here again.

We recently rented this house for a family of 7 stay in Sep 2019. Upon arrival, we noticed the house needed to be vacuumed as well as the twin bed room was infested with ants (crawling all over the floor, window and bed). We went out and bought ant traps and called the property manager to have the ants dealt with. They had someone come out and spray outside, but the ant problem persisted throughout our stay. One of the ensuites was not clean. The toilet seat was broken and dirty despite having a cleaning seal around it. The bath tub had a ring of dirt around it. Another ensuite had the shower door hanging off it's hinges at a very awkward angle. Something that was very noticeable and should have been dealt with before we arrived. Another bedroom, the curtain rod was pulled out of the wall making it impossible to adjust the curtains for fear of the whole thing collapsing. All in all, we weren't terribly impressed and certainly can't understand why all of the previous reviews talked about how clean the house was as that was not our experience at all. It was also frustrating having to deal with these problems while on vacation and trying to coordinate things being fixed, etc. The homeowner was apologetic, but unfortunately that just doesn't make up for all the broken/dirty problems.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I appreciated you communicating your concerns with me during your stay as well. As I mentioned to you during your stay, I expect better for my guests. We rely on our property managers and cleaning staff to ensure the villa is in excellent condition for our guests upon arrival and obviously we were all let down by the conditions you observed.
I totally understand that having to deal with these issues when you are on vacation is not what you want to be spending your time doing. I appreciated your email and notified my property management team immediately upon our initial conversation to follow up with you. I had instructed them to deal with the issues you outlined and re-clean the villa. I understood that the pressing issues were taken care of and that you did not want your vacation interrupted again for further cleaning that should have been done prior to your arrival. However, I was unaware that the ant issues persisted throughout your stay despite the pest control company treating the issue. When I reached out to say that I had refunded your departure cleaning fee, I did not hear back and inferred that the issues requiring attention were resolved. I know it doesn’t make up for the disruptions and disappointment, but I hope that the refund of the departure cleaning fee was taken as a gesture of how seriously I took your feedback during your stay.
Again, I am very sorry that you did not have the experience you expected or the experience we expect for our guests. Based on the feedback I have received from the majority of our guests, I believe that your experience was an exception and not the norm at Mickey’s Hideout. I do take all feedback very seriously and continue to work with my property management team to ensure a better experience for our guests moving forward. We hope to have another opportunity for you to be our guests at Mickey’s Hideout.

Everything was so easy for us, from booking (Sebena (owner, very responsive to all our questions) to arriving/checking in and feeling super comfortable during our stay. The house was clean and equipped in everything a family would need while away from home. We felt safe.
In terms of location, convenient to everything, the parks, eateries, gas stations, shopping, all minutes away.
We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return!
