Weekend Get Away!

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the Cabin, the photos don't really do the place justice! Quiet, off the cell phone grid for the most part, enjoyed the dock and the row boat, the fire pit was great too we roasted marshmallows and had a spectacular time. The only thing that could of made it better would be more seating in the living room and memory foam on the beds... Other than that we had a ball catching fish and grilling on the back patio!! Thanks for sharing your little piece of paradise with us Hill Family!

Honeymoon Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here over the weekend after we were married. It was so peaceful and perfect for us. He got to fish all weekend while I enjoyed my book. The vhs movies were a great plus for when it was rainy. We can't wait to come back with our boys, we know they will love it too. The owner was amazing and we really didn't want to leave at all.

Quilting Retreat Heaven

  • 5 of 5

Our 5 person quilt group had a marvelous weekend here. It was cozy, well stocked and comfortable. The deck and dock have both been updated since the photos. Good communication with the owner/manager. We are planning on returning next year.

Wonderful Secret Escape

  • 5 of 5

I am a thirteen year old that loves boating and fishing! Last Summer I came here with my Grandparents, and my close family. When we arrived we were so kindly greeted by the owners. The cabin may be a little small, as it is for six only. However, this makes a wonderfully cozy place to sleep on summer nights after it cools down. We stayed seven days, and the entire time we looked for a place that was dirty or even dusty, There wasn't any dust, Literally! Me being the fishing lover as I am, I got up every morning to the light mist coming over the water. Each morning I would take the metal rowboat, out with my grandma, and we would fish until breakfast time. I caught 3 big Bass. During the hot summer day, I went fishing over the end of the dock, right where a large school of baby Bass lived. In total I set a grand catch and release record, of 32 fish in one day at the end of that dock. It was great. Also if you want to fish there, they love worms!!!!!! They don't have a dvd player, but they have an extensive VHS collection of western films, great for night time movies. They offer a metal canoe and rowboat to venture into the lake in, which can be very exciting. It is distraction free since it lacks any cell phone or internet connections. I am very excited to be returning this year, actually on the Fourth of August, I will be there. That is in three days. Except this time, the dock will be filled with the marina we are bringing with us, one inflatable boat, and two kayaks in addition to what is already there! Overall This is a great Escape for everyone who loves a relaxing lake house! I hope to keep coming back to this Cabin for many years to come!
