At the foot of the mountain village of Biniaraix extend the gardens of Biniaraix (L'Horta) with hundreds of citrus trees and few fincas. Our finca is attractive for families with children, hikers and cyclists. The finca is screened from road traffic and barely visible. Spectacular is the view from the pool terrace in the surrounding mountain landscape of the Tramuntana.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION:

Can Giret is a typical Mallorcan finca, whose rooms are distributed on different floors.

Ground floor: Entrance and living room, kitchen / dining area and toilet with shower.

1. Floor: 1 room with about 30 square meters, a double bed and 2 large windows.

Half a flight of stairs: 1 room with about 15 square meters, 2 separate beds and a window with a very nice view over the orange garden and the pool.

Second Floor: 1 room with about 35 sqm, a double bed, ensuite bathroom with toilet and bath / shower and a wide view over the valley of Soller. Our Finca is not suitable because of the different levels with many stairs for Gehbehinderte.

We rent for 2 additional persons, if desired, the casita, (garden house): about 35 square meters with a double bed, toilet and shower. The costs are per week 700 € + cleaning.

SURROUNDINGS: Finca Can Giret is beautifully situated at the foot of the village of Biniaraix near Soller and is a great starting point for hiking, trekking and cycling in the Tramuntana. The village of Fornalutx (once voted the most beautiful village in Spain) can be reached in about a 20-minute walk. The traditional town of Soller impresses with its Spanish charm and its originality. In particular, the weekly market on Saturday and the countless cafes on the Plaza you will enjoy very much. The traditional tram connects Soller with Puerto Soller, with the sandy beaches and many restaurants. Especially interesting for families are the many possibilities for boat trips on the rocky coast. Driving to nearby Deya, Valdemossa, Lluc Monastery, Sa Calobra Bay, Pollensa and Cap Formentor, you can experience the magnificent scenery of the Serra del Tramuntana World Heritage.

By car, express bus or even the famous wooden train you can reach this wonderful capital of the island in less than half an hour.

Soller is a known starting center for hiking, so this issue also includes two specialty shops on Calle Luna, incidentally, which also offer guided tours. With bus or taxi you can also quite easily embark on individual starting points of marked trails. The finca itself is with the proximity to the mountains but also a direct starting point for a whole series of really beautiful and scenic tours.

Quite incidentally, it should be noted that self-catering in Soller find everything that the heart commits.

HOW TO GET THERE:

Our finca is located about 30 minutes by car from Palma Airport. Soller is within walking distance in 10-12 minutes.

CONTACT PERSON ON SITE

Our on-site caretaker will meet you in Soller and show you the house. They meet with him in an easy to find place in Soller. Therefore, it is important that we receive your flight details early and that you call at departure from Miguel airport. You will receive this information after conclusion of the contract. Miguel is also your contact for all questions on site. He speaks fluent English.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Please understand some hints:

- No pets

- You are not allowed to smoke in the house

- Any damages are to be reported and compensated by your liability insurance.

- Winds in Mallorca can suddenly appear. Please do not leave the parasols open when you leave the finca

- Food is forbidden in the rooms - in the country otherwise the ants come quickly.

- In the kitchen, you should not leave food open for the same reason

- It makes a lot of sense to dispose of the garbage daily (in front of the street)

Notes:
The one-time cleaning of the main house costs 220 €. In addition to the prices advertised here, the rental of the casita, a separate guest house, costs € 700 per week from May to September. The casita is a garden-side house with doors to the garden and the kitchen terrace. It can accommodate 2 people (double bed), has air conditioning, shower + toilet and is only rentable in the summer months, as there is no heating. Especially older guests love the casita, because at ground level and easy to commit. On the roof of the Casita is another magnificent seating with phenomenal views over the valley of Soller. The cleaning of the casita costs 50 €. The lounge furniture on the terrace and the chairs around the dining table on the patio have cushions - please put them in the room provided when the nights get damp and please do not put on these pillows in wet bathing suits or rubbed with sunscreen and documents. The property is not visible to neighbors. A large terrace and the pool at the end of the property ensure sufficient space.

Shopping in the Cooperativa, almost within walking distance, as well as in Soller or Fornalutx.

There are only a few steps to the mountain village of Biniaraix and you are in lonely mountain nature. Through the orchards a small road leads to Soller, you walk maybe a quarter of an hour on foot. A picturesque road leads up to Fornalutx, also hardly more than 20 minutes uphill and you sit on a beautiful shady plaza. And then it is only a few minutes drive to the sea, to the large sandy beach of Porto Soller in the protected (and very clean!) Harbor Bay.

The tour options by car are impressive. Of course you can get through the tunnel of Soller quickly to Palma and the magical old town with markets, squares and old streets - no 30 minutes by car. A few minutes from our house, the road starts to Deia and Valldemossa with a series of beautiful roadways down to small settlements and along a breathtaking and in many parts completely undeveloped coast. This coastal road is always an experience and it leads to Valldemossa even further, for example to Banyabalfur.

On the other hand, those who go up to Formalutx are a mile or two further along the coastal road along Mallorca's steepest mountain range, which leads all the way to the northern tip of the island, Cap Formentor, past the Lluc Monastery and the small town of Pollenza.

If you take the turnoff to Bunyola directly after the tunnel, you will soon reach the interior of the island or drive around the Alaro via the mountain village of Orient. This is one of the wildest, loneliest roads on the island. By the way, highly recommended by Alara for better motorists: The small road up to the mountain inn Es Verger, where where a footpath leads to the Alaro.

All of these references have the advantage of being close by - our finca, though located off Soller, is really a convenient and convenient base for many activities for both big and small.

From the roof of the Casita, our guest house, we have a wonderful view over the valley of Soller over to the mountains behind which Deia and Valldemossa hide. From the pool and its open, open terrace, the view of remote pines, cypresses, palm trees and in almost every direction on the mountain massifs, which are far enough to not constrict. The wide basin of Soller also offers above the village Biniaraix and the surrounding orchards - H'orta Biniaraix - often the experience of watching big birds of prey while sailing; They nest in the heights of the Tramuntana and look here for prey.
