I grew up in Waimanalo and raised my 3 children there as well. Our family enjoys Surfing, Kayaking, Boogie Boarding, Sailing, Fishing and long walks on the beach, we love and respect the ocean and we hope you and your family will enjoy this beautiful home as much as we do! We feel blessed to be able to spread the ALOHA and share this special corner of paradise with guests from all over the world!

Fantastic location and spacious

The setting is truly spectacular with beautiful views both morning and evening. The long dock is great, the little beach is great, and the snorkeling is very good (even by Hawaii standards). We were visiting for 10 days around Christmas with our 3 grown children and their partners and we spent every morning and evening enjoying the serenity and beauty from the large porch.

It is also fairly private; there may be other guests renting the smaller neighboring houses and a few outside folks walked up the rocky shore to visit and take photos from the dock.

The house itself is spacious, clean and comfortable with two complete living areas and kitchens up and down stairs. The younger set in our group could hang out in the lower level, play cards, cook, eat, etc. as late as they wanted and never bother my wife and I sleeping upstairs. The furnishings and finishes are casual and somewhat dated, but quite comfortable for a relaxed visit. There was more than enough space for our 10 days with 8 adults and all couples had bedrooms. The three full bathrooms and full washer dryer made the stay easy and comfortable. The kitchens were well-stocked and the upstairs dining table was just right for 8 adults so we cooked and shared most of our dinners as a large family. The provided snorkel gear was appreciated. We were tempted to rent kayaks but ended up doing that up the coast a bit.

The location on the southeast coast of Oahu was also very convenient for site-seeing. Fantastic overlooks were just around the corner to the west, and long calm beach within 1 mile to the northeast. Honolulu was about 40 minutes away and the North Shore about an hour.

The house is right on the busy loop highway which generates more road noise than we would have liked, noticeable mainly inside the house but almost not perceptible on the porch and beach. It also means you can't walk anywhere; you have to drive.

The owners checked in periodically and were helpful and available without being intrusive. We did not have a chance to take Mike up on his sailing offer.

All and all it was an amazing place to stay.

A bit of heaven

This was a perfect place for our extended family which included one 3 year old. The bottom floor with 2 bedrooms, living area and kitchen allowed one family privacy until the two families on upper floor woke up. Everything we needed was there. Appreciated the supplies of some of the basics ...some food items, toilet paper, beach towels, beach gear etc. The home was very comfortable and attractive. Location with the pier and small beach was terrific. Beautiful views. Loved our stay even though we did come the morning after the big flood and mud slides which made the water in this area of the island unsafe for 1-2 days. The home was untouched by that. Thank you for having this perfect spot on VRBO!

Perfect spot for a family getaway

My family of four was here with another family of four and there was plenty of space - it was so nice to have two kitchens and two living areas! As others have mentioned, the true highlight is the location: our kids, ages 1 year - 9 years old, were able to play on the beach, swim, snorkel, swing on the swings and hammock, and fish from the pier. Happy kids = happy parents! And everyone loved Mike's boat trip (with his dog!) to see Rabbit Island. I would highly recommend this house!

The house and amenities were awesome and the view was even more breathtaking than the photos.

My family and I loved the convenience of being right on the beach. There were so many amenities and the hot tub was a hit! Even when it rained, the house was large enough to keep us entertained for more than enough time and the covered lanai was a very popular place to hang out with an awesome view.

A wonderful, relaxing place

We had four families stay here and let's just say it was far more enjoyable than a hotel would have been (cost was roughly the same). We spent so much time looking at stars, walking on the dock (only one in all of Oahu from what I can tell) and generally staying away from the touristy areas (which were easy to access when we wanted to get to them). Fantastic place, and hopefully we'll be able to return someday
