Very pleasant apartment
Comfortable, clean, nice location! Good beds and linen.
Tiny bathroom so the floor got very wet when showering. One item I really missed was a hairdryer which was listed as available in the apartment but if it was, no-one could find it so very well hidden. I had to buy one for use during our stay- a bit annoying as I could have brought one.
The apartment is very close to a little square with two very good café/restaurants, both with outside tables and we had magnificent weather during our stay so it was very civilised being able to eat outside and for the chess players to compete against each other. Both were ideal for coffee and breakfast though quite expensive, as were most eating places in Copenhagen. Loved the emphasis on fresh, wholesome, often organic food- throughout the city. With a bit more time, we would have worked out other bus routes to get into the centre but we tended to stick to buses from Trianglen into the centre but that was a bit of a walk from the apartment. I'm sure we could have found quicker and more convenient buses with a little effort. The apartment is in Osterbro, described as a "quiet" area. Maybe it is but the main street, 50m away was busy but it was certainly not a noisy area. This street has several handy shops, supermarkets and bakeries so easy to get supplies of basics. My only "gripe" was that the area was a bit farther away from the centre than I would have liked so the time and cost of taking a bus each way was more than anticipated. We planned to get travel passes but buses did not sell them, nor did a Tourist Info office and we would have had to go to another office at/near the railway station. The travel pass would have saved us quite a bit but we never did get one so daily travel in and out of the centre cost three of us around £20 per day as any bus journey was more than the equivalent of £3.30.
Masses to do/see in the city which is absolutely "wonderful". Loved all the usual tourist spots & particularly liked Torvehallern market with superb fresh produce stalls and food outlets. Bought standard hop-on and -off bus tour tickets and boat trip as one combined ticket but ran out of time to use the boat trip. The 3 bus routes although not long took longer than anticipated as we found it a little difficult to find out where the stops were. Long time to get to the boat trip starting point to find boats were not leaving so lost out. Would we go back ? Absolutely but nearer the centre, not as far out.
