Overview

About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 8, Stay 7 nights and that 7th night is FREE!

1000 sq. ft. of a rustic charmed cedar sided cabin on the Lake with a PRIVATE BOAT DOCK, welcomes you to 2 tranquil wooded acres in the Ozark Mountains. We like to call it a 'LAKESIDE HERMITAGE'. Stay 7 nights and pay for 6!

The interior of this 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin is surrounded by a warm tongue and grooved knotty pine throughout. The great room with 17' ceilings boasts a full kitchen, solid oak dining set, living area w/ large flat screen TV/DVD and lots of windows. A patio door also opens to the deck built around a large towering oak tree for natural shade and faces the lake equipped with patio furniture and a gas grill.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed, massive country French pine dresser and nightstand, and a flat screen TV. The bunk room is off of the master and has its own separate entrance to the bath. The bathroom has a large shower with oil bronze bath fixtures and a granite vanity sink top. The loft features a bedroom with a daybed and attached pull out trundle (both with quality mattresses which can accommodate 2 adults comfortably), private bath with tub, and a sitting area with a bistro table and chairs overlooking the great room and the Lake where a game of cards, chess, or taking in a good book can be had.

At dusk, sit on your balcony or your private boat dock on the water, and enjoy the serene sounds of Owls, Bobwhites, Whip-poor-wills and Coyotes echoing through the valley. The evening also brings a variety of bats bug-surfing overhead for a midnight snack, and the occasional flying squirrel can be caught raiding the bird feeders under the cover of darkness. Or, perhaps gaze into the radiant night sky, absent of all city lights while searching for your favorite star, chase satellites to the horizon, or wish upon a shooting star while swapping stories around a warm crackling campfire.

Also, Mosquitoes are few to NONE!!! Yes, this truly is the 'Best of both Worlds'!

SO....

If you are looking for an escape from your fast paced world, basking in the natural tranquility and beauty of the Ozark Mountains, 'THE LAKESIDE HERMITAGE' on Bull Shoals Lake in Arkansas has what you seek. This clear blue lake was formed by the damming of the White River in the mid 1950's, and has been attracting all who love the outdoors ever since. It offers 45,500 acres of lake and 1050 miles of mountain shoreline, straddling the borders of Arkansas and Missouri. Fishing tournaments are held year round because of the outstanding fishing in this area and harbors species such as Walleye, Crappie, Catfish, and numerous varieties of Bass. The amazing cliff structures beneath the waters surface are not only great for fish habitat, but is well known for the great scuba diving and spear fishing due to the clarity of the lake. Pleasure boating is quite safe and relatively light, even on weekends and holidays. The White River, below the dam, is 18 scenic miles away via windy mountain roads, and is world renowned for its trout fishing, where your limit of Cutthroat, Rainbow, and/or Browns can easily be caught. This area remains to still be deemed as 'The mid-south's best kept secret' thus far!

Keywords: Charming cabin on the lake, Secluded on 2 Acres, tastefully and fully furnished, huge private dock.

Great relaxing getaway with the family and friends!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is very quaint and private. There was plenty of room for the kids and our dog to run & play. It was very generous for them to let us use the adjoining slip for our fishing boat. The fire pit was great for smores at night. The kitchen is small but has room for everything you need. The grill worked well too! We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back.

Cozy place out in the woods!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and 4 children took a last minute Thanksgiving trip and had a wonderful time. The view was great and a very easy walk to the private boat dock (we used the golf cart but it is not neccessary its not far). My children and dog loved running and playing around the house. Everything in the cabin was clean and serviceable. It has a very rustic log home type of look inside and out. Grocery stores were only about 25 minutes from the cabin. We had an excellent time and would recommend to others as well.

Cozy and Secluded

  • 5 of 5

Booked a last minute weekend away from town. Owner was friendly, responsive and made booking easy. The property was very comfortable, provided everything you could need and secluded. It was also very nice to bring our dogs along for the trip. Description and pictures of the property are accurate. This is a great place if you want to get away.

We absolutely loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We chose this rustic cabin because of the remote area and privacy. It exceeded all of our expectations.

Very peaceful property overlooking Bull Shoals lake with access to a private dock and fishing boat.

The decoration and attention to detail inside the cabin is beyond exceptional. The cabin was clean, in excellent condition, cozy and very refreshing. Everything is exactly laid out perfectly. The cabinets had everything we forgot readily available. Tin foil - check, coffee filters - check, paper towels - check, dish soap -check. It's as if someone already new what we were going to forget to bring and had it ready for us.

The deck overlooking the lake is so relaxing. We spent a lot of time here, BBQ'ing and enjoying the peacefulness of the property. We had a couple nice late evening fires in the fire pit and took along our telescope to take advantage of the wonderful star lit night sky.

When your ready to go fishing you can hop in the golf cart (it's not an ATV lol..) and drive down to the private dock. We rented the pontoon fishing boat available and although fishing was not spectacular that weekend, we still caught a lot of fish, bluegill, catfish, and crappie. Also went to visit Bull Shoals marina which is a very nice boat ride. Lots of fun to have here!

We really had a great weekend here and the owners were very nice to work with. Julie made sure we had everything we needed and was so friendly.

If your looking for a peaceful, private getaway on Bull Shoals lake, or even want to enjoy the lake with family and friends, you can do it all here. I highly recommend it.

Location

WE HAVE A PRIVATE BOAT DOCK WITH A SWIMMING PLATFORM!! So, bring your boat/jet ski or rent one at the local marina. We also have a 7 person capacity fishing pontoon for rent! Tour Bull Shoals Lake Dam (the 5th largest in the US), view the mountains and the lakes for miles from the 'Top of the Ozarks Tower', go hiking thru many groomed/mapped trails in the Buffalo River National Forest or float the Buffalo River. Perhaps take a scenic drive down Hwy. 7, known as one of America's top 10 most scenic highways and hit a few of the several antique stores along the way, or just grill out on your own deck and take in the tranquility of wooded seclusion of The Lakeside Hermitage with the sounds of nature and the gentle waves hitting the shoreline just kickin' back and relaxing. The kids can stay busy with horseshoes, board games, DVD's, or fish from shore about 50 yards from your deck. Please note that shopping (Walmart Supercenter, restaurants, gas and other public activities are only 12-15 miles
