Such a delightful stay

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home this summer. The eclectic style and interior architecture of this unique 1920's cottage has tastefully been coupled with modern touches to create a warm and comfortable setting that invites one in to enjoy your stay. You can certainly tell that Lucas takes pride in his home and wants you to enjoy your time spent in the house.

You certainly can't miss the gorgeous view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains from both floors. The sunsets we saw on a few occasions were spectacular!!!! The open kitchen/dining/sitting area was perfect for entertaining; especially when we had guests and family over for the evening. The bedrooms were nicely decorated; loved the spacious master with it's comfy chairs to see the beautiful views, the attached bath and closet space was appreciated since our stay was for a longer time period. Nice having the extra bedrooms and their own bath when we had visiting family members staying overnight. Another favorite was the outside bistro table and chairs where we could bring our coffee and morning paper out or to enjoy our afternoon wine and cheese etc. We did make use of the many entertainment features (WIFI, multiple tv channels to view along with his varied and interesting collection of books, videos and CD's to choose from. Since we had many of our meals in house, the kitchen was ideally set up to easily accommodate this. We also loved having the Brick Store close by along with a lovely library and deli down the road. It's location is perfect for touring around the state and it's so nice that Lucas has many brochures of places to visit and locate restaurants etc. in the area. All in all, this stay was the best we've ever had when we have come back to our home state for a summer stay.... can't beat the beauty of Vermont!!

Great house, fantastic location; rural but 20 min to everything

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed our stay.

It's a perfect location. 22 minutes to Burlington downtown and 20 minutes to the beach that is ideal for toddlers (Oakledge).

But really lovely to be in a more rural area, surrounded by excellent farms, good ice cream and local places.

Nice house. Big common areas and great kitchen.

Huge master bedroom, lots of windows, space for armchair, desk and table.

The other 2 bedrooms are fine, but don't have a window that opens, only with AC.

The owner is great. Very responsive.

House is in great condition.

Working grill that's very good quality. Good laundry machines.

Overall would come back again to this same house without a question.

Lovely home

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous visit over July 4th weekend. The house was well equipped and beautifully situated. The three children in our group loved playing on the grassy slope behind the house. Sunsets were spectacular! Greatly appreciated the owner's hospitality. Hope to visit again soon!

The home was perfect for us and we enjoyed all the conveniences it gave us.

Vermont is beautiful. The owner of this particular home was very helpful and allowed us to rent it and one days notice Due to a plumbing problem in our original rental. But I guess all things have a Silverlining because this one turned out to be so much better than we expected from the first one. It is a beautiful older home with great views and beautiful landscape.
