This spacious and beautifully furnished 1BR apartment is housed at the back of an antique Nantucket cottage on quiet residential (300's block) Union Street, only one block south of Warren Street, Hudson's 'Main Street'. The cottage was originally moved to Hudson from Nantucket Island in the early 1800's by one of the city founders.
The apartment is on the ground floor at the back of the cottage and offers a private entrance. The entrance faces into the large back patio with outdoor furnishings...very quiet and private.
Inside the apartment is a large bedroom suite with antique king brass bed follows by a large eat-in kitchen in the second room, two nice decorative fireplaces, wide plank floors throughout and beautiful antique furnishings. It is sunny, airy and peaceful.
Walk one(1) short block north of the cottage brings you to the heart of Warren Street, the 'Main Street' of Hudson. Historic Hudson is well known for its eclectic architectures, galleries, shops, restaurants, places/events of interest, such as the 'Hudson Opera House' and the 'Winter Art Walk'.
Walk three (3) blocks west brings you to the Hudson's Riverfront Park and the Hudson Train Station. If you are from New York City, it takes only a two(2) hours scenic train ride from Penn Station to the Hudson Train Station (serviced by Amtrak), giving you the option to be car free for your visit to Hudson.
Within a 30 minutes radius driving out of Hudson, you can visit rolling farms, wineries, historic sites and other small quaint villages. Come and explore the best of both world - a little bit of city and a little bit of country.

In 2006 Sarah moved to Hudson after living in Park Slope, Brooklyn for over 20 years. It was hard for her to leave and she tried hard to duplicate her Park Slope experience (a small town in a large city) and found it in Hudson with a twist (a small city in a large country) and she has never looked back.

If you're looking for central location...peace and quiet...privacy and comfort, then this is it!
Perfect for our stay in Hudson. Great location, spacious, clean, and welcoming.
We have stayed other places in Hudson and found this one bedroom property to be immaculate and just right for two people. Everything we needed was there. It is one street over from the main street and is quiet. It is close to restaurants and shops. The owner is very pleasant and we enjoyed our stay.
We appreciated how the owner's VRBO listing actually reflected what we saw and experienced during our stay. The property was clean and well-maintained with ample space for a pleasant and comfortable stay. The property is located at the back of the house, which affords guests privacy and quiet surroundings. There's even a patio with a table and chairs tucked behind the house, which guests can enjoy.
Thank you, Sarah!
This property worked out beautifully. We enjoyed the location. So close to everything yet quiet and relaxing.
We've just returned from a three night stay and really enjoyed our time here. We would highly recommend this 1Br for any couple looking for a spacious room with a king bed, kitchen facilities and a spotless bathroom. The bed and linens were comfortable, the decor was very pretty and we felt right at home immediately. The apartment is just a block away from all the shops and eatery's on Warren street, very convenient not to have to take the car everywhere. It was chilly and mostly gray skies for our stay, but the patio with table/chairs right outside the entrance to the apartment would definitely be nice to have if you visit in the warmer months.
