About Isabelle

I started to host in 1999 with a studio apartment on the bank of Seine river at 5mn walk from Eiffel Tower. I like to welcome guests in my home and to make them happy. I grew up in Champagne region, 140km away from Paris, nice place to visit in a day, you can have a tour of the cellars followed by a tasting of Champagne.

Isabelle purchased this apartment in 2007

Why Isabelle chose 8th Champs Elysees

Very close to all the touristic attractions, easy to move every where, strategic place for shopping, night live, turism, évents'...

The building is quiet, the apartment is very bright with a lot of windows.

Large and airy apartment two blocks from Champs Elysees

  • 5 of 5

I just got back from an amazing 3-night trip to Paris with my wife and two daughters (8 and 11 years old). We didn't spend a whole lot of time in the apartment, as we were out seeing the sights. I would recommend the apartment and would stay here again.

1) The apartment is large and sun-drenched. It has a large master bedroom, what seems like a large living room that has been converted into a second bedroom, a very large TV/dining room combo area with a 6-8 person table and flat screen tv, and an eat-in kitchen. There are basically 3 bathrooms adjacent to one another - one with a toilet (no sink), one with a toilet, sink, bath/shower combo and a washing machine (no dryer), and a third with a shower, sink and large counter space (no toilet). The master has a queen bed that is at about knee-height (think trendy W hotel style). I found it comfortably firm. I think it's made of foam (rather than traditional spring??). There are no black-out shades, so bring a sleeping mask! The kids each had their own beds/pullouts and they loved it!

2) The apartment is on the fourth floor. There is an elevator, but it's tiny. A max of two people will fit and you better love that person, because you'll be close. But, then again, Paris is the city of love.

3) There is a lot around the apartment. There is a Starbucks about a block and a half away, with an amazing bakery (Julian) across the street. There is a Monoprix within 2 blocks and a pharmacy downstairs. Brasseries and bistro galore too. Champs Elysees is two block away and the Louis Voutoin MEGA store is 4 blocks away!

4) Isabel owns this apartment and is very hands on. She will greet you at the apartment and will come back for check-out. You can text her with any questions and she is very helpful. There is definitely a sense you are staying in her apartment, almost like you are staying at a distant aunt's house, who is away for the weekend. It's personalized and is very different than a corporate-run VRBO or a hotel room.

5) It was great having a washing machine, but there is no dryer. You have to hang dry your clothes. Buy detergent with fabric softener to avoid hard/stiff clothes!

8) There is liquid hand soap around the sinks, but there is no bar/shower soap or laundry detergent. You have to buy at the Monoprix, which is an inconvenience, particularly if you don't realize until you hop in the shower.

9) The location is high up on the Champs Elysees, so 1+ mile from louvre and 2+ miles from Notre dame.

Superb Apartment W/ Central Location To See Paris

  • 5 of 5

Excellent apartment with fantastic location. We walked everywhere and then caught the metro back. Great bakery downstairs and around the corner for breakfast or one can go to Starbucks across the street. Many places to eat close by or get out to try different Arrondissements. Saw as much as we could in six days including a trip to Normandy. It does get a little quiet near the apartment on the weekend but walk towards the Opera and there are many places to eat.

Booking with Isabelle was easy. I appreciated her professional business approach and detail in the booking process. Its makes one feel secure when selecting an apartment in an unknown city. Apartment description is accurate, actually better than the photos IMHO, and the unit has everything one could need. The staiway up to the apartment helped us work off all those great meals but if one cannot, the elevator works well for one or two family members. Isabelle was prompt at both arrival and early morning departure.

We were a party of five adults. Having two showers was a real advatage for getting out in the morning.

Perfect Apartment

  • 5 of 5

Isabelle's apartment is exactly as advertised.. Immaculately clean, comfortable and very conveniently located. The apartment is a short walk to Champs Élysées, the metro and restaurants. Also, there are two grocery stores/markets within a block or two p,us an e cells to bakery just around the corner.

Isabelle is warm & friendly and willing to assist in any way she can. Ie booking cabs, recommending restaurants.

We were four adults, two Canadians & two UK residents & the apartment worked very well for us. We would certainly recommend this accommodation, it is exactly as shown in the photos. We walked, took the metro & just enjoyed the area which is very safe.

A very pleasant experience, with an accommodating host and we would certainly rent again if in Paris.

Location, Location, Location!

  • 5 of 5

Location is the best thing we like about this apartment - most tourist sites are walkable. We will stay in this apartment again if and when we go back to Paris. We will recommend this apartment to friends and relatives. This apartment was just right for our group of seven adults. We enjoyed going to the museums and shopping. We also enjoyed eating at Brasserie Baroche and grocery shopping at the G20 and Monoprix which are all located on the same street as the apartment. Isabelle provided excellent service - responded to e-mails promptly. She is a lovely lady.

Excellent accommodation, location, & management.

Wonderful accommodations, and super professional landlord to smooth the way for a great stay. The apartment was perfect for us, a couple with two college-aged daughters. Having two places to shower, and two toilets made all the difference when getting ready in the morning. The kitchen with table space meant we could set out breakfast, help ourselves, and take turns getting ready and munching on delicious breakfasts. The bedrooms are off the main foyer/ hall, close but separate. The apartment was very clean, well maintained, and just as described. The landlord responded promptly to all our inquiries, and made the check in and check out easy and speedy. The beds, sheets, towels were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. I appreciated having a good freezer, to make ice for my beverages. The washer was very handy, and our clothes dried quickly on the provided clothesline which can be pulled out over the tub. The apartment has lots of storage, so we were able to keep things tidy and didn't feel like we were living out of a suitcase. Noise was not a problem. There is one apartment on each floor. We only heard some walking above a few mornings. The beautiful wood floors do creak, but that is part of the charm and in no way detracted from our experience there. The many windows can be opened without sacrificing privacy noise. The cable channels were many, about 4-5 in English for news, was more than sufficient for staying abreast of what was going on and the weather. The wifi was perfect, we has several devices going a once, uploading photos, messaging, doing internet searches and even skyping. The building has a reliable albeit tiny elevator. It handled our luggage upon arrival and departure, and we rode up two at a time otherwise. The location of the building is outstanding. The subway Metro station is across the street and one building away. The wonderful boulangerie, Julian, is on the other side of the street. One of us would get a baguette, croissants, and some goodies every morning. One day I counted 105 paces, just across the intersection! Bliss! Next door is a full pharmacy, and if you must, a Starbucks. Walking the other direction, is a very good size market, and another block further is a Monoprix, full size grocery store, and it's counterpart department store (think target) on the corner of the Champs-Elysses. Next door is a 4 star hotel, and they were helpful in calling a taxi for us on the day of our departure.
