What makes this house unique

We're a unique waterfront property with our own (about 70 ft.) private beach that's use is exclusive for our guests. We have a couple of sit on top single Kayaks on hand that are free for our guests to use during their stay. In addition, we have life jackets and paddles. The beach access is from the property and the bay itself is quite calm so it is possible to Kayak year round.

Our location is excellent, we're just 17 miles West of downtown Seattle. Once can take the local commuter ferry that's run's typically on the hour from 4:30 am thru Midnight. It's also possible to drive direct to downtown Seattle. or SeaTac International airport.

The commuter ferry is considered a 'not to be missed' Seattle experience.

The World's Most Scenic Ferry Rides

Washington State Ferry

Seattle's island-clogged Puget Sound makes ferry travel to and from Seattle a way of life. It’s no surprise that Washington State Ferry, part of the Washington State Department of Transportation, is the largest ferry fleet in the United States, and the third largest operator in the world, carrying more than 23 million passengers a year. For visitors, the breathtakingly gorgeous commute to the Kitsap Peninsula, where you can stroll the waterfront, dine in style, tour a vineyard, or rent a bike is a must.

The Kitsap Peninsula lies in the heart of Puget Sound, and is surrounded by over 300 miles of saltwater shoreline and located between the Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges in Washington State. Kitsap offers miles of accessible shoreline, world-class golf courses, an eclectic collection of communities and endless recreational, cultural and scenic discoveries.

There are also many amenities, and attractions within a few minutes of the house.

Incredible View!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

I can't express how truly beautiful the setting was at Oyster Bay Manor. The home was incredible and the grounds and views were breathtaking. It's everything and more that the website portrays it to be. The owners met us at the house upon our arrival and gave us the complete tour of the home and the grounds. They were wonderful by the way, very kind and helpful. The house was immaculate and we were afforded every accommodation. I would recommend this home to everyone. Whether there's only two of you or an entire family, everyone will enjoy this house.

Amazing vacation !

  • 5 of 5

Awesome location and super quaint English Tudor style home. Very clean and well kept and really appreciated having the kayaks and private beach access from the house. The property and lot are gorgeous and very private yet close to freeway access and shopping. We can't wait to return. Thanks to Tammy for meeting us so late and being very helpful at check-in and Rod for being so easy to work with on late check out and local activity questions. The bay view from home and deck was amazing!!

Amazing!!!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in many VRBO properties in several states and all have been wonderful. However . . . this is my ABSOLUTE ALL TIME FAVORITE. It is every bit as beautiful as the pictures. We had so much fun in Seattle and the northern Washington area, but it was just as special to come "home" to this house. My husband and HS son took the canoes out and had a blast. I will HAVE to go back again someday.

Most AMAZING outdoor setting! Extremely nice home!

  • 5 of 5

Oyster Bay Manor has the most amazing outdoor setting we have experienced in a vacation home over a 20+ year period. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck, the lawn, the trails, and easy access to the beach; all being completely private. The home rates at the top of the list as well. Totally charming, it is a perfect example of the time period it was built, exceptional craftsmanship, and is extremely well maintained and preserved. We found the ferry to be an efficient travel source to reach Seattle. Even though the drive to Seattle is an hour+, this property is conveniently situated to explore the surrounding area. The drive on Hwy 18 to Snoqualmie Falls is a great scenic route. Once there, don't miss the delightful brunch at the Salish Lodge or riding the vintage train. The owner is very helpful and pleasant to work with; always communicating in a timely manner. The only thing to note is if you have an elderly person sharing the home with you, or someone who has difficulty with stairs, the stairs in this home are steep and narrow. The address marker and lane into the property is difficult to spot, especially when dark. Overall, we highly recommend this beautiful home! :)

The property is peaceful and private. Wonderful.

  • 5 of 5

My family gathered here to spend a wonderful week together. My mother and sister travelled from Ohio to Seattle area to visit with me and their grown grandchildren/nieces. We all enjoyed the spectacular view and the wonderful, cozy home. It is truly a home away from home, with all the necessities provided, including comfortable beds, fresh linens, and a well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the fireplace while watching movies on the plush living room couches, as well as cooking many meals to share at the large kitchen table. My family was so impressed with the unique architecture and serene, beautiful setting. My family doesn't get to visit often, and the stay at Oyster Bay Manor really made the vacation a relaxing one for everyone. The house is located very close to the ferry, so trips to Seattle were convenient and traffic free. The owners have provided everything one needs for a worry-free get away. I found the description provided in the listing to be very accurate. The property is clean and well-maintained. I recommend this house 100 percent.

What an AWESOME location right on Oyster Bay! Beautiful, quiet setting away from the hustle and bustle of Seattle. Clean and well organized just as described online and in photos. All the comforts of home. GREAT home for two couples. Convenient to Bremerton-Seattle Ferry. Just a couple of hours drive to Port Angeles Whale Watching or Mt. Rainier National Park.

Location

Car: necessary

Our central location is excellent! We're just 17 miles West of downtown Seattle. One can take the local commuter ferry which is just 5 minutes from the house. It's free to walk on from the Kitsap side, (you can also drive on) and leaves typically once an hour from 5am thru midnight. A great way to reach downtown, the ferry with a cafe and WiFi on board, provides a relaxing, and authentic Seattle experience. The panoramic views from the ferry of downtown Seattle as you arrive are definitely not to be missed. You'll arrive in downtown Seattle at pier 52 in about 45-50 minutes and be within walking distance of most of Seattle's major attractions such as Pike place Market, Safeco Field, Century Link Field, Space Needle, Waterfront Park etc.

The ferry is just an option, if you want you can also drive directly to Seattle via Hwy I-5 in just under an hour.

It typically takes a day or two to see the downtown attractions. Thereafter, there are a number of interesting quaint historic town and attractions within a 15 to 30 minute drive of the house that are definitely worth a visit if you're spending more then a day or two in the Seattle area. They include Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, Museum of Glass, Maritime Museum etc... Historic towns of Poulsbo, Port Gamble, and Port Townsend. Leavenworth, Whidbey Island, the National Parks of Mount Rainier, and Olympic National Park are are also just a day drive away from the house. Vancouver and Victoria, BC Canada are also possible day trips from the house
