Holiday home Langwald, Stechelberg
History: Our family has rented the holiday home for over 50 years. In the beginning, the guests did not rent the entire house, but rather just individual rooms and shared the kitchen and bathroom with other tenants. It was heated with a wooden stove and the so-called privy was behind the house.
In May 2015, we adjusted the holiday home to the current standards and renovated it. It is available for single usage for one party.
Look forward to a simple, functionally equipped holiday home without extras, but everything you need for your holiday.
The house offers 60-m² living space (ground floor and 1st floor). It has a kitchen, a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom with shower/Lavabo as well as a separate WC.
In front of the entrance is a covered gazebo (balcony), furnished with table and chairs to cosily unwind.
You can safely store your sport equipment (bicycles, skis/snowboards, etc.).
On our website, you can find a floor plan that offers you a good overview.
• covered gazebo (balcony)
• Entrance area with cloakroom and shoe rack
• Kitchen, functionally equipped; fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, water cooker, raclette and fondue dishes - everything is available

Fritz and Markus Gertsch, two brothers have continued the tradition of their mother for decades. They renovated the house in spring of 2015. You can count on the flair of Ursi (Fritz's wife) for the lovely interior design. A tradition lives on!
Fritz Gertsch purchased this apartment in 2014
Newly renovated and in a beautiful location with a view of a part of the Bern Alps, the house is within walking distance (5 minutes) of the Schilthornbahn (known from the James Bond movie "On Her Majesty's Secret Service").
The starting point for hikes (flat and mountains), paragliding, cycling, etc. in the summer and different types of winter sports in the winter.
This newly remodeled apartment that is half of the home is delightful in so many ways. It is tastefully decorated, immaculate, has 1 bedroom, 1 bath (with shower only), living room, kitchen with many amenities (no microwave), one porch, one patio, access to a laundry room, and has a WONDERFUL hostess, Barbara. Barbara left us her homemade bread, homemade strawberry jam, and homemade cheese--delicious! She met us at the bus stop which is really only 3 minutes from the home, and then showed us the home briefly. Why, then, the 3 star rating? Because even at 5'8" there were doorways that were too short for me! Imagine the condition my 6'9" husband was in for the 4 nights we were there. Barbara, upon seeing my husband's height, said the write up explained that the ceilings are low, but, I looked and looked and couldn't see that information on the VRBO website. Perhaps it is on a Swiss website? If it weren't for the LOW CEILINGS, I'd give it a 5 star rating--if you are short, I'd recommend it!
