About William & Elisabeth Pinckard

My wife grew up in Austria and I was raised in Florida and we both love the tropical climate and the Caribbean. We have traveled the world and sailed to many of the Caribbean islands but fell in love with Turtle Beach on St. Kitts. Although our children are on their own, they take any opportunity to visit us on Turtle Beach.

William & Elisabeth Pinckard purchased this villa in 2008

Why William & Elisabeth Pinckard chose St Kitts & Nevis

While visiting St. Kitts in 2003 we fell in love with this unspoiled tropical paradise. We purchased this land and finished construction December of 2008.

What makes this villa unique

Unsurpassed views, the short walking distant to the unspoiled beach, the walk from Turtle Beach to Cockleshell and Banana Beach, the friendly neighborhood and the many activities available.

Phenomenal House!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from our stay at Villa Alamandra. The house was as good or better than the pictures! The view from the deck/porch is second to none! You will not be disappointed with a stay here. Here are my random comments:

1. Rent a car. It is absolutely vital staying in this part of the island

2. Reggae Beach bar has a great Friday night lobster dinner. Get a reservation. We did through Facebook.

3. If you cook in, produce at the grocery stores is lacking. Instead, go to the local market in Basse Terre. You can walk to it from the cruise ship port. It is north of the cruise ships, and just a little past the Kentucky Fried Chicken

4. The Kittians are delightful.

5. Nearby is the Reggae Beach Bar and Spice Mill Restaurant. You can eat and rent chairs there. Next to Spice Mill is a small structure called Lion Rock. Really neat Kittian (Lion Rock) owns it. Rum punch and food,is GREAT!

Enjoy!

An Amazing Home

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 3 couples stayed at Villa Alamandra for a glorious 9 nights in Jan 2017. Buzz & Lisl were so quick and patient answering our many questions during the 10 months planning our trip. The view from the Villa never got old and I looked forward to that morning coffee looking through the binoculars at the boats out on the ocean. The Villa is exactly as the pictures on VRBO show so there was no surprises. That was a huge relief as this was our first time renting a home vs an all exclusive resort. The Villa had everything you need to cook Gourmet Meals and we did! We enjoyed and cooled off in the infinity pool just about every day. The hill to the Villa is a bit of a climb if walking and we did that a few times as we walked to the Reggae Beach Bar about 5 times during our stay and also walked down to Turtle Beach several times. The climb seemed to get easier each time. At the Reggae Beach Bar the food was fantastic, the drinks plentiful and the service was top notch. Props to Hazel our waitress and Eric the Bartender as they are such nice and fun people. Make sure you make a reservation for their Friday Night Lobster Feast as is was excellent. We enjoying many things St Kitts had to offer such as a day on a Catamaran, The Historic Fort, Port Zante, The Marriot and Several other beaches and restaurants. If you want to book anything on St Kitts contact Liz Pereira at Pereira Tours and she will take great care of you I promise. Our only disappointment was that Turtle Beach is not very well maintained as the restaurant is closed. That said, the snorkeling about 50 feet straight out from the dock was very good. At this time Turtle Beach is not a beach you would take drinks and food and spend the day. We also rented a vehicle through Dwayne Hector who was also a pleasure to deal with. His rates were good and he even picked us up at the airport with the rental, helped us load our bags, took us to the grocery store and then we followed him to the Villa and that was a good thing as it was dark by that time.. Now that is outstanding Service.. The Villa is remote on the south end of the island and off the beaten path a bit so renting a car is a must. The Villa is surrounded by many beautiful homes. We do hope to return to Villa Alamandra one day and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a 1st Class visit to St Kitts/Nevis. Thanks Buzz & Lisl for sharing your beautiful home..

Absolutely wonderful and perfect vacation home! Place it on your bucket list!

  • 5 of 5

The Villa was spectacular, everything we expected and more! Views were wonderful day and night. The open living lay-out was amazing. Villa so clean, and everything one would need in a vacation house was there and provided. The Villa is located on a beautiful side of St. Kitts where awesome beaches are down the street.

My family certainly will remember our wonderful time in St. Kitts, most of it spent in this Villa together. We recommend the Villa as a great vacation rental!

Thanks again Buzz and Lisl, the Landroche Family.

Best Vacation Ever!

  • 5 of 5

We just spent a wonderful 8 day vacation in St. Kitts at Villa Alamandra, and what an awesome getaway from some cold weather in the U.S. My family consisted of 5 adults, and we found Alamandra to be the perfect villa for our group. The drive to town was very easy on great roads, and really was rarely needed, since we planned our grocery shopping list in detail for one major visit early in our stay. The best restaurants on St. Kitts are quite convenient to Turtle Beach and Alamandra. We loved the Pavilion Restaurant and Spice Mill Restaurant for fine dining, and highly recommend the Friday evening Lobster Fest at Reggae beach bar (all are only a 5-10 minute drive from the Villa). Lunch at Ottley's Plantation is not to be missed as well. Turtle Beach is a short walk, or very short drive, and it offers seclusion with good swimming opportunities. St. Kitts driving is not as challenging as some other Caribbean islands, once the art of driving on the "wrong" side is mastered. I highly recommend Villa Alamandra for the perfect Caribbean vacation.

A Wonderful Relaxing Week

  • 5 of 5

Our family, four adults, spent a special week at Villa Alamandra, December 10-17, 2016. It was great to be in St. Kitts while the temperatures back home were below freezing. We read several books, played games, went to the beach and dined out often. On St. Kitts we went to Rituals for coffee, smoothies, and breakfast. Our best dinner was at Serendipity. We also had two good diners at the Spice Mill. We had lunch at Reggae Beach Bar several times. Their fish sandwich was really good.

The villa was spacious and well equipped. We used the rental car available from the onsite manager. He met us at the airport and lead us to get a St. Kitts driver’s license and to the villa. That was very helpful.

The view from the veranda was amazing, we looked directly at Nevis. Much of our time was spent on the veranda. We had a nice breeze off of the water the entire time we were there. The sunrises were spectacular and made getting up early worthwhile.

We walked to beach from the villa several days. It took 10 to 15 minutes. The beach was nice and it was on the Caribbean side of the island so the water was claim. There were plenty of umbrellas and chairs to rent. We rented paddleboards one afternoon and gave that a try.

We visited Fort Brimstone and enjoyed an afternoon there. We also drove around the entire island and stopped at several places to view old churches, plantation manors and the ocean . The St. Kitts Road Map & Guide was very helpful and available free in lots of shops and restaurants.

We went to Nevis one day. We decided to take a power boat from Reggae Beach to Oualie Beach on Nevis. The cost was $150 round trip for the 4 of us. It was worth it. The power boat took 5 minutes to cross the 2.5 mile distance between Reggae Beach and Nevis and they were available when upon request. The company that operated the power boat arranged for a taxi on Nevis since they do not land in town. The taxi driver met us at the beach and we used the taxi for 3 hours. It cost $60 and we gave the driver a tip. On Nevis, we really enjoyed the Botanical Garden there and the Thai restaurant, Oasis, in the center of the garden. Oasis was a great place for drinks and lunch.

Picture Perfect Views and a Peaceful Place to Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We just got home from an absolutely wonderful week in St. Kitts, made all the merrier by staying at Villa Alamandra! This truly is an exceptional villa, with breathtaking views, and a safe and peaceful location. It is definitely worth the price for a three bedroom home of this size with an amazing ocean view. The owners are always quick to respond and very helpful too. We didn't spend much time there during the day because we were always busy exploring. We took Greg's Safari hike up the volcano, Blue Waters Catamaran trip to Nevis, the Sugar Train ride around the top of the island, drove to the incredible Brimstone Fortress, and shopped in downtown Basseterre. Some of the best snorkeling I've done is about 100 yards to the left of the pier on Turtle Beach! The island of St. Kitts is simply beautiful. Make sure to visit the black sand beach by Shipwreck Bar and have your picture taken with a sweet baby monkey on Reggae Beach. Pull over onto many of the stops by the road for amazing views of one of the prettiest islands I've ever been to. You will be happy you did!
