Ao Yon Beach and Cape Panwa Beach are just a few minutes drive away from the apartment. The very quiet and beautiful AoYon Beach is just around the corner, he does not have the dangerous currents that prevail on the west coast beaches, AoYon is one of the last not yet so famous beaches of Phuket where you can safely swim, there are no JetSki's and no speedboats.

Cape Panwa has managed to stay tranquil and peaceful in spite of intensive urbanization in the direct area. Many 5 star resorts havebeen built here in the last years.
It's quiet and tranquil a haven for people who like peace and quiet. Ao Yon Beach is 3 km kilometers from the apartment and covers the west coast of Cape Panwa. Cape Panwa Beach is only 1 km from the apartment.
The public bus stops in front of the resort every 20 minutes Which can bring you to Phuket Town and / or all beaches.
If guests would like to rent a car I can offer them very special rates. We recommend to rent a car to explore all the opportunities of the Iceland.
Overall, the property was "as advertised". As I look at the pictures attached to the listing, they are very accurate. My wife, daughter, and I were there for 4 nights, and it offered PLENTY of room both indoors and on the balcony/patio. Only the showers had (sorta) hot water; all bathroom sinks offered only room temperature water. Also, unless you want to get all your meals from 7-11 or a couple small restaurants, you're REALLY going to want to rent scooters or a car. The cost for a taxi from the airport was about 600 baht (about $17 USD), and it was about a 40 min ride. We paid about $8.50 USD a day to rent each scooter (we had 2 of them), and that got us everywhere else we wanted to go on Phuket. If you've never ridden a scooter in traffic with an even mix of scooters and cars, it can be a little unnerving the first couple times. Fortunately, this property is away from downtown Phuket town so getting around for us was much more pleasurable. Taxi prices were all over the board; you had to negotiate the fares for your rides since most taxi's don't have meters, and those that do didn't want to use them.
Markus is a nice guy, and he met us at this place when he said he would. You better check the wording on the listing about electricity, because YOU will be paying for all of it while you're there. If you use the lights and A/C, you'll pay extra for it. If you don't use the refrigerator, you're still paying for it to run while you're there. I don't want to sound petty, but that should be included in the price of the rental. I totally get the notion that not everyone will want to use the A/C a lot, but it's the principle. We ended up paying an additional 1,000 baht at the end of our stay for the power we used. Once again, that should have just been included in the rental price. You'll also be asked to put down a cash security deposit, which Markus refunded to us at checkout.
All this being said, we would certainly stay there again, especially with 4+ people!!!
Cape Panwa is a very quiet area with beautiful views and the people are incredibly friendly. From the apartment window we could see Ko Phi Phi on a clear day, which was awesome. You have good access to resort restaurants, spas, and other nice local restaurants.
This apartment is conveniently located next to piers or bays that you will take tours out of. It is easy to find taxi service and even easier to find somebody who is reliable that you can use repeatedly.
The apartment itself was very clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. It was also very spacious with nice furniture and comfortable beds. The bathrooms were amazing.
Markus did a great job of keeping in contact with us and even showing us around the area to know what restaurants to go to, where to get some simple groceries, and an ATM to get cash out. He was an incredible host!
If we come back to Phuket we will definitely stay here again it was a great location with friendly people and quiet
The apartment offers breathtaking views of the ocean and PhiPhi Iceland and has a nice pool in front of the balcony / terrace.
