The 150 year old rustic house in the traditional Canarian style with garden to relax and Grillenim located in the picturesque pretty Santa Catalina, in one of the locals inhabited, quiet village on 100 m above sea level and yet only 15 minutes west of Puerto de la Cruz. 1 km to the coast with swimming in natural pools of San Juan de la Rambla, so it can also be reached on foot. Other smaller and larger Smtrände are in a distance of 10 to 20 minutes

 

This particular location makes it an ideal starting point for hikes along the coast towards Icod and in the mountains to La Guancha. In the resort, and only a few minutes walk from the house, there is a restaurant, a grocery store, a Bodega Bar, a newspaper stand, a gas station and a small romantic park with an adjacent children's playground.

The house has a ground floor, one floor, 280 m2 fruit and herb garden (mandarins, lemons, oranges, papayas, bananas) to relax and crickets. The first floor is occupied by the German landlord. The ground floor apartment has its own direct entrance and is for. 1 Floor separately. The house is located in a cul de sac - an advantage for families with children. An outpatient baker delivers every morning to request fresh bread and other baked goods. The apartment on the ground floor has its own private entrance and is on. 1 Floor, which is occupied by the owner, completely separated by a door and Concluded autonomously. Unfortunately, the windows of the ground floor apartment do not allow the views of the coastline, as so often in historic houses and villas in the Canary Islands, but rather on the mountains. From the garden, the sea and the coast is visible.

The 110 m2 apartment with a garden is with married couples without children who want to enjoy the gentle, uncomplicated Canarian flair in the midst of an inhabited by locals village, far from concrete strongholds and other inconveniences, but want deposited spend their vacation and within 15 minutes Puerto de la Cruz, the largest city in the north west coast and the Loro Park want to achieve. About the new motorway sections of the beautiful Santiago del Teide route to reach the more mass tourism south of the island: Las Americas, Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos in 1 hour.

The two bedrooms can accommodate 3 people. In the living room the sofa bed offers yet another sleeping space for one adult or 2 children.

For self-catering, the kitchen with its complete facilities and dining table for 4 people everything you need to the last detail. Many culinary herbs, citrus fruit, grapes, papayas, bananas, all from organic farming can be like picking season. Moreover, in the dining room is yet another table for 6 people. A Washer, dryer and ironing board is in the next room to the kitchen.

The bathroom was renovated in 2015 non-slip shower area. The last renovation of the house, inside and outside, as well as parts of its interior and the beds \ mattresses, made at the end 2016th The entire house was and is completely bug-free.

The village is connected with 2 nearby stops on public bus routes.

The owner can take over the Transfert airport and provide tips for excursions and attractions.

About Gert René Schmidt

My wife comes from Mauritius and I from Backnang near Stuttgart. I worked as a musician and music teacher and my wife Dominique (hence the name Casa Dominica) the management of a hotel in Mauritius had among themselves.

As you can see from the photo, we love music, sun, sea, islands and nice people. 2014, we were finally able to implement our long-planned projects, we bought this house - after a long search - in Santa Catalina in Tenerife.

No tourist resorts with high-rise buildings far and wide, yet located near the coast and not too high in the mountains, living in the midst amiable native, garden, and yet only 15 minutes drive from Puerto de la Cruz.

What makes this house unique

The renovation of that 150 years old house, which belonged to a larger Finca once, was only completed in spring, 2015. The house, however, has retained its wayward, winding Canarian character and charm and we love it as it is. And our holiday guests we want to share our enthusiasm.

Beautiful clean apartment in a calm area

We very much enjoyed staying at Casa Dominica in Santa Catalina. The house is very well kept up and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need to prepare a good meal. The rooms (indeed, the whole house) are comfy and thoughtfully decorated. Gert takes his role of host seriously and does not cut corners. If there is a problem he is on it immediately. The property has a well kept fenced-in yard/garden with fruit trees, lounge chairs and a table. It is a very nice spot to eat lunch or enjoy the sun.

Santa Catalina itself is very small and quiet. It is almost a neighborhood of nearby San Juan de la Rambla, which is a very nice small town with bars/cafes, lots of old colonial architecture and a small but surprisingly very well-stocked grocery store (it's open until 8 PM). This is an excellent central location from which to explore the entire northern side of the island. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone staying on Tenerife.

Sehr schön!

Es war sehr schön in unserem Feriendomizil und es hat uns allen sehr gut gefallen. Die Wohnung war wie beschreiben, sauber und gepflegt und super ausgestattet. Der Garten hat uns sehr gut gefallen und machte es manchmal schwer, schnell in den Tag zu starten, da er dazu einlud in der Sonne zu verweilen. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter im Vorfeld und während unseres Aufenthaltes war sehr herzlich und hilfreich.

Die Lage ist ideal: Es ist nicht weit zu Wandergelegenheiten, nicht weit zum Meer, aber auch nicht weit nach Puerto de la Cruz, dabei ist der kleine Ort selbst nicht touristisch.

Kurz: Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Feriendomizil auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

schönes Appartement mit Küche in einem kleinen ruhigen Dörfchen 15min. mit dem Auto von Puerto Cruz

abgesehen von ein paar Einheimischen die ab 7.30 morgens zur Arbeit fahren ist es ein sehr ruhiges verschlafenes Dörfchen dieses Santa Catalina... direkt am Meer und nahe der Schnellstrasse nach Puerto und sehr Zentral was eine gute Ausgangslage für jegliche Trips mit dem Auto um die ganze Insel bietet man ist praktisch in 1 Stunde überall wo man hin will.

Ein sehr berühmtes Restaurant ”el Bodégon” ist in 5min zu Fuss erreichbar... René unseren Vermieter haben wir als sehr freundlichen steht's hilfsbereiten Menschen zu schätzen gelernt... seine Konzerte am Sonntag Abend im Cafe Color in Puerto gehören zum Muss für Fans von Live Musik. Wer gerne kocht wird den Gasherd mit 4 Kochstellen lieben. Alles da Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach, Waschmaschine, Tumbler, Microwelle... viel Platz in den Schränken um die im nahegelegenen Supermarkt gekauften Sachen zu verstauen... das nahegelegene Naturschwimmbecken ladet ein um im Atlantik sicher Schwimmen zu können. Im Garten des Vermieters gleich um die Ecke ist man jederzeit herzlich willkommen um zu Grillieren oder zu verweilen... lieber René vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit die wir bei euch verleben dürften wir waren halt immer bisschen busy... bis bald einmal...

Owner's Response: Ich bedanke mich sehr und dies auch im Namen meiner Frau für diese herzliche Bewertung und die Momente die wir mit Ihnen verbringen durften. Und ich sage es klar und deutlich: Falls ihr beiden das nächste Mal Lust auf Teneriffa bekommen solltet, dann besucht uns bitte wieder. Egal wo ihr mietet. Ihr habt alles so ordentlich hinterlassen, wie keiner unserer Gäste. Meine Frau hatte nichts zu tun ausser den rappelvollen Kühlschrank mit Köstlichkeiten auszuräumen. An meine Kollegen, die FEWOS vermieten sei gesagt, dass man sich solche Gäste an 5 Fingern abzählen kann. Ich schäme mich nachträglich eine Kaution verlangt zu haben und wünsche mir von ganzem Herzen diese freundlichen, herzensgute, weitgereiste Menschen irgendwann wieder einmal begrüssen zu dürfen. Es war einfach eine wunderschöne Zeit mit euch!

Traditionelles Kanario - Haus mit netter Betreuung

Vielen Dank für die gute Zeit bei euch, deine hilfreiche Unterstützung und die vielen Tipps. Auch wenn das Wetter nicht so ganz mitgespielt hat, haben wir uns gut erholt und vieles gesehen. Der Garten war toll und dass wir die Kräuter nutzen durften war super. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet und auch bei längeren Aufenthalten braucht man durch Waschmaschine und Trockner nicht so viele Sachen mitzubringen. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Insel sind gut erreichbar und es gibt in 10-15 Fahrminuten gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.

séjour des plus agréables à la Villa Dominica près de San Juan de la Rambla

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour du 9 au 22 mars. Notre hôte nous attendait et son accueil a été très chaleureux. L'appartement est très soigneusement tenu et s'est montré très pratique et confortable. Son équipement est conforme au descriptif précis donné par le propriétaire. Son environnement immédiat est très calme.La villa Dominica est très bien située à proximité des sites touristiques les plus intéressants. En rentrant le soir il est très facile de faire quelques courses. Pendant notre séjour la météo a été presque idéale avec un bon ensoleillement, ce qui nous a permis d'effectuer de belles balades entre mer et montagne.

Cher René nous avons beaucoup apprécié vos délicates et discrètes attentions. Bien cordialement de la part de nous quatre.
