Looking for a little getaway for two? This one bedroom 300 sq.ft unit is a perfect pied-à-terre in the heart of seaside. Our apartment is located on the second level and the outside living area is the entire rooftop of this industrial style building where you can sit and watch the sunset, the coastline of the gulf and the stars and moon at night. We are designed for two adult people maximum. If you have children, please take a look at our Picasso Moon, which is designed for families.

Right outside your door, are fine shops, three pools, a fitness club and spa, tennis courts, 20 miles of bike paths. Armavida’s specialty coffee , a quaint bookstore and record shop , a great grocery deli called Modika Market and a variety of award-winning restaurants. Oh, don’t forget the white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, just steps from your door.

And while there is no designated parking, there’s plenty of parking in nearby Smolian Circle.

Parked our car and walked everywhere

This apartment is definitely tiny, but perfect for two people. We could walk out the door to several restaurants, and a great wine bar. One of the restaurants in the community has outside seating which overlooks the gulf of Mexico and we had great tappas and drinks there. Our tiny Picasso Sun unit had a bedroom with a sliding glass door which allowed my husband to close and have a quick nap while I worked on my computer in the living/kitchen area. We enjoyed coffee on the rooftop where the owner has a small bistro table and two chairs, several chaise lounge chairs and also a large table (probably for guests who stay in the larger unit). The unit itself is perfect for a getaway at the beach, it was not elegant, but had a rather artistic, comfortable feel. We plan to return.

This was our second year at Sol I and we really love location and amenities, Bert is very reponsive to any and all questions. The only issue with the unit, is that the internet and cable did not always work - we went several days without service. Also, the bathroom tub drain off of the bedroom facing the balcony does not work properly and it took over 10 minutes for water to drain after showering. Last year it was slow in draining, but this year it was much worse. Overall, we had a wonderful week!

Owner's Response: Mimi....We are so glad that you decided to return to our Sol I again this year.......... we really have no control over the TV cable company, nor the telephone coverage here in Seaside. We live here full time, and have sporatic outages which we have to live with on a daily basis....that is one of the challenges we have living on the beach, but I think the beauty of our community and the beach trumps these minor challenges. A slow draining tub is being checked on....I suspect that many of our guests forget to wash the sand off their bodies thouroughly and sand can easily clog any drain, something we have to occasionally deal with.

Beautiful Loft in Perfect Location

We stayed for 3 nights in Sol I and hated to leave. The loft was contemporary but still very, very comfortable and the balcony just couldn't be beat. It was quiet while still being right in the middle of everything. Our kids especially loved it because they could walk around by themselves without us having to worry. The beds were unbelieveably comfortable - I'd go back just for the beds!

We will be back soon I hope!

Incredible Loft and Perfect Location

We spent five days at Sol I last week and had the most perfect time. Bert was a pleasure to work with and made everything extremely simple. My kids had a blast and I loved where we were located. The kids love to hang out at Heavenly at night and I could just go onto the veranda and see them. It was awesome. The pools were a short walk or bicycle ride and the beach was close too. The veranda is a perfect place to sit and have a glass of wine and read. The bedrooms were a great size and everything is decorated perfectly. Works for a family, as well as a girls trip. I highly recommend working with Bert and staying in Sol I. We will absolutely be back! Thanks Bert!.

Better than the Pictures

I spent the week of January 14, 2011, at this condo, and the pictures do NOT do it justice. It was spacious with an excellent traffic pattern, sleek, modern, yet warm and inviting, and had a HUGE balcony (off the living room and one of the bedrooms) with cushioned couches and lounging chairs as well as a table and chairs for eating or playing games--I love outdoor living and this space was spectacular. It was exceptionally clean and well-organized. I found plenty of parking spaces just steps from the entry. The Kohler touches in the bathrooms are nice, and there are deep, soaking tubs in both. Indoor/outdoor space must be 1500 sq. ft., I'm guessing, and flowed well throughout. I will definitely rent this condo again in the future--steps from the center of all the action! And the beds are to die for! I usually wake up with a backache or stiffness, but these beds were SOOOOOO comfortable, I hated to get up in the morning! Just wanted to lay around in bed all morning (and I did!)

I highly recommend this condo.

From the center of an almost perfect place......

I recently stayed in this property and enjoyed a long weekend immensely. The only down side to this rental was the young child pulling chairs across the floor above us. Not a great 7 am wakeup call.

The interior of this place is an uncluttered minimalist dream. Everything that you need is there AND you can find it. The beds were incredible.The baths were Kohler perfect. Both bedrooms were roomy and wonderfully furnished.

The location within Seaside is perfect- you are at the center of all the non residential services. One must wal up one story to this apartment- and parking can be persnickety. 1

Overall- this is a great two couple sort of place and I would not hesitate to return to it
