Javea is an elegant holiday destination with a rich variety of leisure activities. Situated in an extensive bay between the rocky outcroppings of Cap San Antoni and Cap La Nao, both of which have lighthouses, it offers a great variety of hiking trails and breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and Ibiza. The nearby natural reserve around Montgo, the mountain overlooking Javea, offers everything a nature-lover's heart could desire.

In Javea there are three different parts of town: the old town, the harbour, and the bay, all of which offer their own attractions.

The historic centre of the old town is just a few kilometres from the sea. The narrow alleyways with their wrought-iron balconies, large wooden doors and stone columns around the central fortified church, allow visitors to immerse themselves in the ever-changing history of the town. There are numerous festivals and cultural activities that take place here.

The harbour area has a lovely promenade with numerous cafés. bars, and restaurants. The culinary offerings leave almost nothing to be desired, since there's something for every holidaymaker, from traditional Mediterranean cuisine to gourmet chefs (with Michelin Guide ratings). A luxurious marina and the traditional fish market are just a stone's throw from the promenade.

The neighbourhood along the side of the bay is called El Arenal, and is named after the extensive sandy beach that spreads out along the side of the sea. There is a promenade with numerous restaurants, bars, and clubs here as well. This is where the nightlife of Javea is to be found. The best shopping area is also here, which has been graced by the addition of numerous brand stores in the last few years.
