Full floor, two bedroom apartment just steps from Subway. The pictures say it all. Located in a landmarked brownstone in Sugar Hill, this fabulous 1000 square foot suite is one of the most beautiful rentals in Harlem. Ebonized floors. Stainless steel and marble kitchen. Modern furniture. Romantic terrace with day bed and cabana. HDTV flat screen television and high speed internet. Dishwasher and laundry. No expense spared! Half block to ABCD subway - 10 minutes (2 stops) to midtown. 24-hr supermarket, Starbucks, New York Sports Club all within 2 blocks. Management on site.
The apartment is very large and clean. The location is great, not noisy and close to all the things of the daily needs. (Bank, food, pharmacy, subway)
In 15 minutes one is by train on the Times Square, Manhattan.
If you are coming to NYC and looking for a place to stay in Harlem please consider booking with Michael. You can't go wrong with 710 St Nicholas Ave. Our apartment was in a walk up brownstone. The interior was modern and clean. The location is in the heart of the Sugar Hill community at the 145 St. subway stop. The station is literally right around the corner. Michael makes sure to acquaint you with the neighbourhood and all it's amenities - grocery store, pharmacy etc. It is a short subway ride to any of the main attractions the city has to offer. We travelled with my 4 year old daughter and felt completely safe the whole time. I didn't encounter any of the negative NYC stereotypes. In fact the people in this community are more friendly than the city I live in on the west coast of Canada. Michael is fabulous. Very friendly and helpful. He checked in with us through out the trip to make sure we were getting what we wanting out of our holiday. You can feel 100% confident booking with Michael without hesitation. Enjoy your trip!
You'll never want to stay anywhere else after staying at this apartment! Besides the fact its very well designed/furnished and spacious the subway and multiple corner stores are less than a five minute walk away. Michael's customer service was also a lovely bonus. It was a pleasure renting from him. He made it so welcoming, accommodating, and easy!
We spend 6 wonderfull days in this super appartment. We felt like real new yorkers. Very good location: the subway station is at 50 meters from the house and in only 2 stops with the express (10 min) you are in the heart of Manhattan. Michael Cooper is absolutely friendly: he gave us a max of info of the neighborhood (restaurants, gospel, etc.) also things to do in Manhattan and Brooklyn. He knows everything what is going on. The appartement is very large, well supplied (washing machines, vacuum cleaner, iron), very clean also. The beds are very comfortable. It is very quiet. No sounds from the street. Only the steps on the parquet from the upstairs floor and a little noice of the subway which passes under the house.
We definetely recomend this place.
This apartment was gorgeous. Two good sized bedrooms (one queen, two singles - so perfect for a family with 2 kids). Modern kitchen. Nice bathroom. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, air con (which we needed as it was super hot). Really stylishly furnished. Lovely rear balcony with sun bed. We also loved the neighbourhood. Public pool around the corner. Great access to downtown via the subway (the station was very close). The owner Michael was also very helpful, providing instructions for a local walking tour and places to eat. We loved exploring a new part of Manhatten and will definitely return and stay here again. Could not recommend more highly.
Right from the moment we arrived to when we left, Michael helped ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Arriving jet lagged with two small children, he helped store our luggage and walked us to a nearby coffee shop to relax while the room was getting ready. Upon arrival Michael gave us a great folder of info including restaurant ideas, places to visit and a highly recommended local walk that we did twice.
We stayed there for 6 nights. The apartment was quiet and very well equipped for a family. There were several flights of stairs to get up, but Michael and his staff were there to help with the luggage when we left as well. The apartment was bigger than expected, very clean and had all amenities that home has. Invaluable when you've got a family with you!
The location is fantastic. It's nowhere near Times Square (unless you want that sort of experience...) and the neighbourhood is very engaging. We had several lovely chats with locals who offered advice or just a unique perspective. The neighbourhood is very diverse but that helped make it feel like we were part of a community rather than hanging around tourists. Express subways 2 minutes away took us midtown in 15 mins or so while the local trains took us to Central Park is a few.
The outdoor terrace was a great way to unwind after the day with a beer. It was quiet and peaceful (in a New York sort of way!).
If we were to stay in Manhattan again, our family would definitely stay here again. Michael was so helpful and the combination of price and accomodation (especially for a family of 5) probably can't be beat.
Other Activities: Riverbank State Park 5 minutes away with Olympic Pool, Track, Skating etc.
