Our beautiful guesthouse has 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths and its own private fenced and landscaped yard complete with patio furniture, a relaxing hammock and fountain.
The luxurious main bedroom with a king bed, has French doors opening to the back yard and a full bath attached with a clawfoot tub and stall shower. The 2nd bedroom has a daybed and pop-up trundle bed, (2 single beds which can be joined to make a king if preferred). There is a double sleeper sofa in the living room for extra guests. We also have single rollaway beds and a pack & play crib if needed.
Prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen and eat either on the patio or the dining table for 6 in the living room which also has a gas fireplace for those cool evenings. A 2nd full bath is accessed off the living room.
Although located on a quiet residential street access to freeways and Metro-rail is only a few blocks away. Close to supermarkets, coffee houses, lots of great restaurants & local night life venues.
Our central location provides convenient access to major studios, Universal City entertainment complex (featuring Universal Studios & City Walk, Universal Amphitheater concert venue, multi-theater complex, shops & restaurants), NOHO Arts district and metro-rail station to Hollywood, (walk-of-fame, Graumann's Chinese Theater & Kodak Theater, home of the 'Oscars') and to downtown, Disney Concert Hall, (Frank Gehry's architectural masterpiece), charming Olvera St, Chinatown etc.
Hollywood Bowl, Ford Theater, Griffith Park hiking and riding trails, LA Zoo and Griffith Observatory are also just minutes away.
15 minutes drive will bring you to trendy Melrose Blvd shopping, and a few minutes more to the middle of upscale Beverly Hills. LACMA and Getty museums are also within easy reach.
25 minutes to the beach at Santa Monica & Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach boardwalk and another 15 minutes further up the coast to Malibu.
Disneyland is south of downtown LA, about 40 mins drive.
NOTE: If you do not need both bedrooms, the guest house can also be rented with just the main bedroom and 2 baths at a reduced rate.
I have lived and been a realtor in this area for longer than I care to remember, and we have another smaller property nearby which I have enjoyed renting out to guests from every state in America and all around the world for the last few years. When I first saw this home in very poor condition, I knew it could be transformed into a great place to accommodate larger family groups and the guests we could not accommodate at the other property. It was a labor of love and we are thrilled to now welcome our return guests and new guests alike to our new property, and do our best to make their stay a memorable one.

I love Studio City, Valley Village where I have lived and worked for the last 30 plus years. I had a whole storage space full of my own furniture when I sold my house and moved in with Chris, the love of my life, so we bought a duplex to rent out as furnished units, but I was unable to rent it long term as prospective tenants had all their own furniture and then I stumbled on vacation rentals and have never looked back. My family and I, (4 adults and 2 Children) stayed at The Valley Village Garden Guest House from the 29th Nov 2009 for 5 nights.
The Guest House was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and had every conceivable appliance and fitting required. Just a home away from home.
Helen was very friendly and efficient to deal with and went out of her way to help where she could.
The Guest House is ideally situated in a lovely tree lined suburban street in a quiet neighbourhood, but still handy to lots of attractions.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful accommodation to any travellers.

This home was just as it was described in the listing. It was in a great location and the off street parking is always a + in LA. The owner was very easy to work with and we had no problems with the property while we were staying. It is very private and you don't feel that you are close to any other houses or people. The kitchen has everything you would ever need to cook and there are lots of basic pantry items. One thing to mention even though it had no effect on our stay. You can hear planes going over head sometimes early in the morning since it is close to the Bob Hope airport. The noise is fairly loud. It woke me up twice during our week long stay. If you are a light sleeper this might bother you. I imagine this is just a common thing in LA. We had a wonderful stay and would stay here again should we need 2 bedrooms.
Thoughtfully stocked, from a shoeshine kit to a welcoming goodie basket and real flowers! Helen and her team manage this lovely cottage so professionally and gave such great information so the only surprises were nice ones. Located in a quiet neighborhood, but it is close enough to everything. The cottage is so nicely decorated, well-equipped and relaxing, it was a thoroughly delightful treat to stay here!
This is the fourth property we have rented through Helen Walker. We have never been disappointed, The descriptions don't really do this guest house justice. Everything is first class and attractive. and the kitchen is so well supplied we could happily stay much longer and entertain much more than we needed to the 3 nights we were there - this time to take in the Rose Bowl and visit with our children and grandchildren. The openness of the rooms and the access to the outdoors are big pluses. The little patio at the front with comfortable chairs and couches and vine covered trellises is lovely to look out upon from the living room. I would readily recommend the property to people visiting the area who want a quiet, very convenient, and lovely place to stay, complete with off the street parking.
Just spent 3 days at this cozy guest house and I could not have been more comfortable. The surrounding area felt safe. The house has lots of privacy, the master bedroom is spacious with lots of natural light, the kitchen was just the rights size and the house is modernly decorated. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Note, don't try to squeeze in a 7th person unless they plan to sleep on the floor. The outside was charming. Helen communicates very well and answered all my questions immediately.
Universal studios and Hollywood Blvd are just minutes away.
