The living room area is large and open and for sleeping two single beds can convert the space into a second bedroom. The balcony looks out over mature eucalyptus trees and a meadow of green. I am a documentary writer/director and my husband Dale Herd is a screenwriter. We have three children and have lived in Beverly Hills for twenty years. This Rodeo Drive property has been in my family for two generations. The house has a happy and peaceful vibe.

This room has a door that closes it off from the rest of the apartment. Bedroom #2 is part of a large open living space that adjoins the living room. It includes two single beds. This room does not have a door that closes it off from the rest of the apartment. If you are traveling with a third child, it's possible to set up an extra bed in the sitting room area of the bedroom (see photos). We also keep a Pack 'n Play on hand for babies.

Home away from home!

We loved the place, it felt like coming home after a day in LA. Great not having to eat out for breakfast, lunch And dinner all the time. But if you want to.... "every" possible restaurant is nearby!

Beds are great! Airconditioning works perfect!

Very clean And enough towels for bathroom And pool. The appartment felt very safe. In a beautiful neigbourhood near a nice part of LA. Loved to wake up with the sound of singing birds in the garden!! Use of a waschingmachine and dryer. An open kitchen which had everything we needed.

A great big pool we had for ourselves during the day time. The pool lies next to the owners house, no worries, they give you all the privacy you need!

The owners are very helpfull, kind and friendly. They also give you your privacy And are there for you when you need them.

We loved to stay here with our two girls 13 And 16 years old. We were sad to leave!

Charming retreat in Beverly Hills

We throughly enjoyed our seven night stay in mid June. Both hosts Deborah and husband Dale were engaging and helpful regarding our stay in LA including suggestions of places to visit. The property is located in a beautiful tree lined street in Beverly Hills, with easy access to nearby shops, restaurants, cafes and parks. It is also well located, near Sunset and Santa Monica Bulevards, allowing easy access to all parts of the city, including Malibu, Santa Monica, Hollywood Blvd, and Mulholland Drive. The property itself is spacious, bright and airy and has a delightful large balcony complete with furniture on which we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinner. The apartment is well appointed with a well equipped kitchen, large living area, which also has additional single beds and closet. The master bedroom has a seating area with lots of glass windows. With ceiling fans and air conditioning the property was easy to cool, and with the windows open during the evening the cross breezes naturally cooled the apartment. We also enjoyed access to the hosts laundry, which included both large washer and dryer. Overall, we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay, and would definitely stay there again. We highly recommend this property.

Great location and delightful owner

Debbie is a gracious host. The apartment was fully stocked, functional and spotless. We left a Kindle and she quickly got in touch so we could pick it up. The location is among the grand mansions of Beverly Hills which made it even more special. Great for walking. We will certainly be back. Thanks. Richard

Charming oasis in heart of Beverly Hills

My grown daughter and I stayed in Debbie's lovely guesthouse for six nights. The main room is very spacious and the kitchen is well-stocked for food prep. The deck (the floor is really the roof of the first floor) is large and overlooks the very pretty garden area, pool, and main house. It can be accessed from the main room and from the sitting area in the bedroom. The apartment was quiet and private. Location is truly ideal - you can easily tour the beautiful BH mansions and couture shops without a car. Great restaurants with outdoor dining for people watching. Beds are very comfortable. Furnishings are informal and simple but all are in excellent condition. Debbie was so accommodating - she even welcomed two additional guests one night! We hope to return, soon!

PARKING – Parking is limited to one vehicle (small or midsize). Please be aware that the house is a historic property, the driveway is narrow and the parking area is tight.

CANCELLATION by Guest – Cancellations forfeit whatever payments have been have been received at the time of the cancellation. If we are able to rent the apartment during the same period we will return the rental amount for the nights we are able to fill, less the amount of the deposit.
CANCELLATION By Owner – The Owner reserves the right to cancel the agreement at any time prior to Guest taking possession of the property, due to a family emergency or emergencies that may arise due to a plumbing, electrical or heating malfunction. In such event, all payments made by the Guest to the Owner will be fully refunded, and the Owner will not be held be liable for any damages of any sort incurred by Guest as a result of such cancellation.
INDEMNIFICATION - The apartment is privately owned; the Owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. Guest agrees to release and indemnify Owner from and against all liability should anyone be injured upon the premises during the the term of occupancy, resulting from any cause whatsoever, except in the case of personal injury cause by willful gross negligence on the part of the owner. The Owners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the Guest. By accepting this reservation, all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises.
