Renovated four bedroom home in historic downtown Newburyport. Home has the original 1850's exterior with a beautifully updated interior with an open floor plan featuring bamboo floors and a large, fully equipped kitchen that is perfect for large groups. We often host families in town for weddings, birthday celebrations, family reunions, etc. Please call owner with any questions.

Fantastic location. Our home is located in a residential neighborhood just a block away from the Merrimac River, The Boardwalk on the waterfront and Cashman Park with its great play ground. Several of the surrounding homes are circa 17th century that have been beautifully restored and maintained. The town center is only a 7-minute walk where you will find a beautiful waterfront area with fine restaurants, casual eateries, coffee shops, fun retail shops, New England antique shops, art galleries and the Newburyport Farmer’s Market. Park your car and walk to the best Newburyport has to offer!

During the busy summer months of July and August we only offer weekly rentals. Saturday to Saturday.

Wow! What a great time we had at this meticulously maintained house in Newburyport. This is NOT a beach house, but more of an experience in small-city living, as you can walk everywhere. The unit is spacious and nicely decorated.

Great Family Rental

Our family (6 adults and 3 kids) loved this house--well appointed, fabulous kitchen, plenty of room, great location--overall perfect. The house is very open so we weren't tripping over each other. We watched fireworks over the water from the upstairs deck. Had most of our meals on the backyard patio. We were able to walk just across the street to a park for the kids and to a boardwalk that went along the harbor. Easy walk to all the downtown shops and restaurants. We would rent again in a hearbeat.

wonderful place to gather family!

The flow of this beautiful house was perfect for a large group to cook, dine and relax together. We loved loved the fireplace-especially since the fridged weather of well below zero. Yet we did bundle up in a hundred layers and walked the town and beaches. Finding the 'inner' of town was fun to explore, shop and dine. We found a fantastic Mexican restaurant in town, unfortunately I do not remember the name of it. Great long weekend long overdue with family

Convenient, clean, well planned rental

My family of eight adults and two small children stayed at the Historic Downtown Newburyport House for the holidays. It was the best rental property we have used. The three floors suited our family well because we could separate sleeping babies on the top two floors from family activities on the main floor. It seemed the owners knew our needs with everything provided from a crib, highchair, games, puzzles, cooking equipment, outdoor grill, washer and dryer on both the second floor and in the basement, throw blankets to snuggle under in front of the fireplace, racks for boots and shoes, and friendly neighbors.

Handy notes with directions answered questions before we asked them. We enjoyed the sparkling, beautiful, downtown with unique shops and one of a kind restaurants. We enjoyed snow on the beach. We enjoyed the location of the house with its neighborhood feel but short walk to downtown Newburyport.

The owner was very prompt in answering questions and prepping us for our stay. Overall a very well run rental property.

Exactly as advertised, Comfortable and Great location

We stayed at this house with 3 families (6 grown ups and 4 babies/kids.) We were a little tight fit with babies in our bedrooms but the set up worked out great. Good common space and kitchen with kid friendly serve-ware options and even a few toys for the little ones to play with. TV and gas fire place both worked great and were very easy to figure out. Beds were comfy and bathrooms worked well. The location is awesome -- you can walk to downtown newburyport in a few minutes and get to lots of shops and restaurants. Street parking was easy.

Relaxing, well stocked, short walk to Newburyport Shopping

Six women stayed at this comfortable spacious home last weekend. We loved the fireplace that took the early morning and late night chill off. The living room had comfortable seating for all of us. The very high ceilings gave a sense of spaciousness. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of silver, pots and pans and spices. All you needed to bring was your food. A quick drive to Plum Island to enjoy a morning beach walk. Then back to the house where we left our car so we could walk to town for shopping, browsing and restaurant tasting. Wished the weather had been warmer so we could partake of the patio and 3rd floor porch. Highly recommend and want to come back next fall.

Wonderful location!!

Very nice townhouse within walking distance to downtown. Kitchen well stocked. 8 adult women with lots of space to hang out. Tour of place on arrival was very helpful though manuals were current and things were well labeled. Safe neighborhood

Home is ideally located for a New England Holiday. Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the White Mountains of New Hampshire as well as the southern coast of Maine (Ogunquit, York, Kennebunkport, Portland) and Cape Ann, Cope Cod and Rhode Island are easy day trips by auto.

Home is only minutes from Interstate 95 and Highway 1. Bus and train transportation is available to take you to Boston, which is just 38 miles south (45 minutes by bus or 55 minutes by train) The train station is a very pleasant 20 minute walk from the house.

Newburyport is a quintessential New England seacoast town with fantastic Federalist architecture (among other styles) a small performing arts center, free outdoor concerts, a maritime museum, whale watches, dinner cruises, kayaking etc. Plum Island is only 4 miles or a 30 minute bike ride and contains the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge as well as miles of beautiful sandy beach; great for walking, beaching, battle boarding, surfing, kayaking and biking. Maudsley State Park is just 3 miles away.
