This mansion offers the perfect combination of rustic outdoor and modern interior. The south facing house is located at the edge of the valley of Sóller with extraordinary views over the picturesque village of Sóller and the Tramontana Mountains. The access to the ground floor leads through the stately entrance crossing the beautiful courtyard into the entrance hall and further on to the living room with fireplace, dining room, kitchen, one of the bedrooms with bathroom en suite and a guest toilette. From all areas you have access to the spacious sunny terraces, which are equipped with nice lounge furniture to seat easily 10 people. On the first floor is the master bedroom with en suite dressing room and bathroom as well as two more bedrooms sharing one bathroom. A beautiful Mediterranean garden and various terraces surround the house, some at a lower level, where you will find the pool and the sunbathing area with its different environments. There are sunbeds for 8 people in the pool area. Also there is a covered parking area for several cars.
We immediately fell in love with the charm of Sóller the first time we came. Finca Son Colom is the perfect place to enjoy this gem in the Tramuntana: amazing views of Sóller, infinity pool to the valley, the short ride to the lovely Port de Sóller, sunshine from morning to the evening and finally the breath-taking sunset which transforms the colours of the surrounding mountains. The perfect hideaway to forget the day-to-day life...
Barbara Astrid purchased this chateau / country house in 2013
We love this house. It's as beautiful if not more so than the photos. Spacious, very stylishly decorated with views to die for from every window and terrace . It's an impressive place - private, quiet yet an easy 5 /10 mins drive from shops and restaurants in Soller, the port and a half hour from Palma. We are serial renters of holiday properties and this has one of the best pools we've seen - great size, so clean and well maintained and again lovely views. Kitchen and bathrooms are very well appointed and equipped, excellent laundry room. The master suite is stunning plus 2 large ensuite double bedrooms and a smaller twin make it perfect for 2 families or 3 or 4 couples. The rental process was very straightforward with Barbara who was easily contactable before and during our stay. We only stayed a week, it wasn't long enough. We'd come back here again in a heart beat.
This is truly a fantastic Villa. Very high quality on both interior and exterior. Great pool area (saltwater pool), and amazing views. The villa and the property is even more amazing than what the pictures show. Total privacy, with an exeptional garden. Nicely situated between Soller and Port de Soller. Great location for exploring the West coast of Mallorca (visiting Deia and Valldemossa is a must), and only 20 minutes from Palma city. We stayed here for two weeks and would love to come back.
The house was even more beautiful than in the pictures! Beautiful bedrooms, amazing pool area and Barbara who takes care of the house is so nice and helpful with everything! We would love to come back soon!
In the middle of 2011 the Serra de Tramuntana was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This exceptional holiday home with stunning views over the village of Sóller and the Serra de Tramuntana is located halfway between Sóller and Fornalutx. The Serra de Tramuntana is a mountain range that stretches across the entire northwest of the island of Mallorca from Andratx, over Estellencs, Banyalbufar, Valldemossa, Deia, Soller, Fornalutx and Escorca until finally Pollensa on the Northeast coast of the island. It is famous for its spectacular rock formations, overgrown with stone oaks, olive and pine trees, and the great variety of birds and it is in this area where it shows all its beauty. The mountain is well connected by roads and trails and therefore ideal for hiking and biking. Fortunately, this part of the island has remained mostly untouched by mass tourism. The Tramuntana mountain range is characterized by its originality and its largely intact and unspoiled nature.
Who discovers Mallorca for the first time and spends his vacation here, will instantly fall in love and come back again and again.
The crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean and the next beach to go swimming are only a few minutes drive away. Similarly, for swimming and snorkelling there are some little rocky coves not heavily frequented and worth visiting. A lazy day at the pool surrounded by nature, however, is not to be despised.
The town of Sóller at mere 5 minutes drive is home to about half of all people living in the Tramuntana (a total of about 20 000 inhabitants) and situated below the Puig Major, who, with 1.445m2 is the highest elevation in Mallorca of the Balearic Islands.
Sóller is located in a fertile valley, which is famous for its orange, lemon and ancient olive groves. In the early 20th century trade was booming between Puerto de Sóller and the South of France and the prosperity of the city was founded here. Sóller is a beautiful, vibrant city with its plaza, the terraces, the cathedral and the major shopping street 'Calle Luna'. You should not miss visiting.
Puerto de Sóller, the natural harbour with his now pedestrianized promenade, marina and the small beach has evolved over the last 10 years into a real eye-catcher and is only 5 minutes drive from the property. Many fine restaurants line the first row and the port is enjoying a growing reputation and popularity. The Hotel Esplendido in the first line and the new 5-star-hotel 'Jumeirah' certainly attract a growing international clientele.
The romantic village of Deia with about 750 inhabitants is located at about 25 minutes drive from Sóller. In Deia numerous artists and bohemians have settled since early last century and have thus established its reputation as 'artists village'. Three miles below the village there is the small pebble beach 'Cala de Deia' which has probably been photographed a thousand times. This beautiful bay is surrounded by medium-high cliffs covered with pine and olive trees and ends in a semi-circular beach of coarse sand and gravel. There are also two typical restaurants on the waterfront to try the best fish and shrimps from this area of the Mediterranean.
