It is one of the last original cave houses in Firostefani on the Caldera overlooking the sea and volcano islands. Enjoy the famous view from the two terraces and enjoy the enchanting courtyard, which is an additional room in summer and offers a lot of privacy.

Santorini has a lot to offer, e.g. :
- For nature lovers: the volcano and unique shape of the island invite to discover more on foot
- For wine lovers: many wineries offer wine tastings – the volcanic soil makes the wine very special
- For music lovers:
In August the Megaron Gyzi Festival takes place with renown artists and free admission. And throughout the summer the Santorini Jazz festival in Kamari.
In September, there is the famous International Music Festival. Running for over thirty years, the festival features musicians from across the world playing a series of concerts that include opera, chamber music and jazz.
The Santorini Volcano Festival fills the month of August with concerts and cultural events, dancing and traditions. The festival is rounded off with a huge firework.
I love travelling and meeting different people. I grew up in Germany, graduated in Business Administration, worked in the US and India. Having completed a teacher training I am meanwhile teaching in Greece. The house is our holiday home.
Anette Ebert-Skyvalos purchased this house in 1986
My family fell in love with Santorini and this house, because it offers the unforgettable view AND has at the same time this beautiful and cozy courtyard. This combination is very rare, the courtyard is like an additional room and you can't be seen by anybody. We even bought the house without having it seen from the inside! The location and what we saw from the outside, was enough...
A lot of space PLUS privacy. Most other objects in Santorini offer for a higher price much less space and not even a private balcony where you can relax in a deckchair! The rooms have high ceilings - it is a REAL cave house, not an imitation. The layout is ideal for several friends or 2 couples to have a stress-free holiday, if you book the additional 'guest room' as well. It has its own fridge, water basin and coffee/tea making facilities. So one party can e.g. have breakfast early without waking up the others.
The house is not to deep down in the caldera, you have to climb some steps but its easily doable. Other places are a real challenge.
Top location, right on the caldera with the famous beautiful views in one of the most traditional places: Firostefani. Spiti Barbara is surrounded by small class inns and hotels, attach importance to the preservation of the Cycladic architecture and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Only footpaths and typical white Cycladic houses. Taverns and cafes invite you to deeply enjoy different views of the volcanic islands and sailboats among themselves. In small shops essentials can be bought and a short stroll through galleries and souvenir shops makes sense. If you want it trubliger, you get to the main town of Fira on foot in 10 minutes along the picturesque panorama path.
Firostefani is on the center of the caldera and is a good starting point for excursions to all other places and beaches. A walk along the caldera to Oia is wonderful back you can take a taxi or bus.
