Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We were only at The Loft for one night (7/1-7/2/17) but our stay was wonderful. The space was clean, comfortable, and Jon was absolutely wonderful to correspond with. A simple, but MUCH appreciated touch: the child gate for the top of the stairs. I never even thought about the stairs (for my 12 year old small dog), but thankfully Jon did by having a gate at the ready. It really IS the small things that matter, so thank you! I hope we get down to the area again, soon ... and if we do, I will definitely check availability at The Loft. All the best! Jess, Jeff & Oli (woof!)

Excellent!

  • 5 of 5

Nice property! Perfect location for our needs. Nicely appointed. Great communication with owner -- every question we could anticipate was answered before we even knew to ask (parking, entry to property, features in the property). Fireplace a nice touch for a cold night. Definitely recommend if seeking a stay in Bedford.

Perfect for our needs

  • 5 of 5

The Loft on Lawyers Row was in a perfect location for us. We spent one day enjoying train related museums in Roanoke (a 30 minute drive). Our favorite was the O. Winston Link Museum and we would recommend it to anyone who is interested in trains, amazing photography, or mid-century Americana. The apartment is charming and cozy. It was well-equipped and clean. Our cat had fun going up and down the stairs to the loft sleeping area. After several days of being mostly confined in a car carrier - she was in seventh heaven.

Very impressive

  • 5 of 5

We loved this quaint, circa1840s place. The restoration and decor was very well thought out down o every last detail. Ever since I was a little girl, I have traveled to the town of Bedford to visit relatives and have always loved it's quaintness. Staying here really made me feel as though I was experiencing a piece of its history.

My only suggestion would be to add a grab bar in the back wall near the claw foot tub. As beautiful as it is, it's not so easy to get in and out of unless you're 20.

Enjoyable stay!!

  • 5 of 5

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at here. It is wonderful!! All of the family was able to stay together!! It is definitely not for someone who can't climb stairs well or has physical limitations due to the steps. We have family in both Bedford and Roanoke, so works well!! When we come to visit again in 2018, I hope Lawyers Row is still available!!! The owner is very accommodating!!! I apologize for not writing this review sooner!!

Like being in Williamsburg!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Lawers Row Loft and had a wonderful time. The owner was very helpful and accomodating in every way. The space is perfect for two and the ambiance is so peaceful and historic. The next door neighbor was so kind and helpful as well. We visited several sites in the area and had great breakfasts in town! We sincerely enjoyed our stay and hope to return for another visit!
