In an environment that is one of the most sought after regions of Italy, La Perla is a private, picturesque, excellently designed and well furnished country house by the shore, with its private jetty, and a view that only a few houses can offer. A truly rare find: The lawn stretches down to the water. Here, you can enjoy views and silence. The building is constructed in Provençale style: thick walls, white paint, terracotta floors, beautiful, natural coloured arched windows, and open bow passages. There is a spacious, bright living area with fireplace, pool table and large double doors that open onto the garden, a kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 chic bathrooms. 5 people find space comfortably. In a small extra room a 6th person might find space (a child under 6 years).

La Perla is a wonderfully situated semi-detached house, perched right on the shores of Lago Maggiore. It is an extremely private house, located in one of Italy's most popular regions. It is a picturesque, excellently designed and furnished villa with its private landing stage, manicured lawns and a view that only a few houses have to offer. This accommodation is unique because it is situated far from the hubbub of the roads. As you may know, the lakes of Upper Italy are usually encircled by a lake-shore road. This house, however, is far away from the busy roads. Here you have direct access to the lake, only a few steps away from the house.

Considering the neighbourhood, the house is reasonably priced and unbeatable as regards the location. A sports club with tennis courts, sauna, steam bath, fitness centre and a pool is a 10-minute walk from the villa and can be used by guests for a daily or weekly fee. Two golf courses are located within 10-15 minutes' drive, with several more less than an hour away. The ferry to the other lake towns and islands docks at Belgirate (10 min. walk). Ferry boats go regularly to the three picturesque Borromean Islands: Isola Madre, Isola Bella, and Isola dei Pescatori. The nearest village is Solcio (approx. 400 m) with a grocery store and a 3 star restaurant. A pedestrian route behind the house offers a panoramic view of Lake Maggiore and leads to the nearby town of Lesa (5 min.), where you will find grocery shops and restaurants. The ancient town of Stresa, once one of Italy's noblest spas, is just 8 km north. 5 km from the house, there is the boat club of Stresa, where you can lend a boat (sailing boat, motor boat) and do water skiing. Switzerland is just half an hour away. The popular Swiss towns of Bellinzona and Locarno on the northern shore of the lake can easily be reached by speed-boat (90 minutes).

La Perla is located in an exclusive gated community; the villas on this area can be accessed only via a private access road with entrance gate. Peace and tranquility are guaranteed here. The house is made up of two wings connected by a courtyard. The friendly, English-speaking owner lives in one wing and will do everything possible to help you enjoy your stay without intruding.

The house is built in the Mediterranean style: thick walls, shining terracotta floors, arched windows and doors, white stucco exterior surrounded by lush tropical plantings. Originally designed and furnished for private use, the house offers the charm of a private domicile. The furnishings are of high quality, with spacious rooms and every comfort. Three doors lead from the house into the garden. The well-kept, carpet-like lawn and spacious garden extends from the villa to the lake and the private landing stage, and lawn furniture is provided for enjoying the sun or dining al fresco.

Ground floor:

On the ground floor there is one twin bedroom with independent access from the garden and en suite bathroom (shower). This bedroom is connected to the rest of the house through the passage single bedroom (French bed/1.15 m wide). Steps lead from the single bedroom to the upper floor. Adjacent to the single bedroom there is a bathroom with an old-fashioned marble bathtub and a modern shower. Furthermore there is a spacious, bright living area with a fireplace, large arched French doors leading to the garden and a professional-sized billiard table. The kitchen is fully equipped, large and stylish, like the other rooms in the house. Before entering the kitchen, you will find a nice dining corner by the window, also with direct access to the garden.

Upper floor:

Overlooking the single bedroom from a lofted area is the master bedroom with air-conditioning unit. On this upper level is a second, smaller and more simply furnished single bedroom appropriate for a child under 10.
