Casa Tango is the largest and newest villa in Chaman, a beautiful closed-gated complex of seven colorful homes. Conveniently located on a side road in the hills between the quaint town of Quepos and the gorgeous beaches of Manuel Antonio, Casa Tango provides easy access to both. Many restaurants are within walking distance. Wildlife viewing at the villa is a thrilling experience, with monkeys, sloths, birds, and iguanas visible from the terrace. All guests have access to the delightful pool surrounded by tropical gardens. The villa is a large, spacious two bedroom with two full bathrooms, full kitchen and dining room, living room and large covered terrace. A shade garden entrance sets the mood. Privacy is accommodated both inside & out with jungle views and a floor plan that provides for your comfort. Complete with internet, TV/Cable and phone, maid service and washer & dryer are also available for a small fee. Our on-site manager is always available and can help arrange tours.
We had a wonderful time at Casa Tango. The home is beautifully maintained and comfortable. The common areas are landscaped with care and provide a nearly private swimming pool available anytime. The large deck offers a perfect place to sit quietly and observe the monkeys on the adjacent perserved land. It is walking distance to restaurants and beaches, and it provides a lovely, safe and affordable environment for emerging into the culture of Manuel Antonio. Latin expresses this as convivere, or living happily together and at ease in the company of others. Casa Tango made convivere easy in Manuel Antonio.
Our family stayed here for 5 days in August and it was an incredible experience. Pia was very welcoming and Made us feel at home as soon as we arrived.
The grounds are gorgeous and waking up to the monkeys was such a great way to rise in the a.m
The house is very well equipped with everything you need and spacious. It was very clean.
Air con in both bedrooms was a nice touch.
We spent many hours just hanging out on the beautiful balcony with with the sounds of the rainforest around us.
I would have given this 5 stars, but although very nice, the pool could use some maintenance.
You can get around without a car but there would be some serious walking or bus riding. We had a car which was nice, but you can totally do it without.
We loved the villa. We felt very safe and secure. It was beautiful and very well maintained. The location was perfect. Pia is so sweet and very helpful.
Nice condo. Awoke one morning to monkeys in the trees playing. Good location to the beach and park. Very friendly people in Manuel Antonio. Enjoyed our stay and plan to return.
Nice quiet, clean apartment. While it doesn't have a view, the lush setting was a relaxing respite from the bustle of the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area.
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Tango, especially the location in general and the pool in particular. It was blisteringly hot that week, so the a/c was welcome. The fans were not so effective. The property was clean, well equipped and maintained but was not the one in the picture on the website by the pool. We managed to communicate with Pia the on-site manager, when necessary, but did not meet Eddie. So our immediate local knowledge was limited. The location of the villa was excellent for wildlife viewing - we saw all 3 species of local monkeys within a few days of our arrival, some for a considerable length of time. We loved swimming in the pool and looking into the surrounding forest. There were many species of butterflies. Turn left out of the property, past the nearby restau'rant, and turn left again for a good bird spotting area. Also saw an unusual variant of the blue morpho there. A short walk to the main road brings you to the frequent bus service to Queypos or Manuel Antonio. We recommend the sunset cruise from Queypos with Sunset Sail tours [food, drink and snorkelling included] as well as the Manuel Antonio Park. We eat at Ronnie's place with a wonderful sunset view, although the food is pricey. Mono Azul hotel, round the corner from Casa Tango, is great for smoothies and a good deal of local knowledge from the friendly American owners. Cocktails on the beach at Playa Espadilla are great fun and the hotel on the other side of the main road from Casa Tango, Hotel mimos, has a good restaurant. Overall, we would recommend the property for its pool and location but would advise a/c in the lounge area as a welcome addition. We were able to cook regularly and enjoy excellent local produce. If, like us, you are heading for Montezuma after Manuel Antonio check out anyone who combines a shuttle with the boat from Jaco - there are some good deals around and it doesnt take too long.
Manuel Antonio beaches are perhaps the most beautiful in the world. The wide and unpopulated beach and sea is a paradise of palm trees, monkeys, whales, dolphins and fish of all kinds. Spectacular views and casual fine dining are a way of life. Manuel Antonio National Park is a country treasure. Activities include animal watching to butterfly farms, jet skiing to sail boating, horseback riding to canopy trails, deep sea fishing to white water rafting. The quaint town of Quepos hosts a farmers' market and a new boat marina all. Everything conveniently located to this villa.
Other Activities: Canopy trails, rain forests, butterfly farm, bird watching, whale & dolphin watching.
