We enjoyed our stay!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying in a neighborhood, which was sweet and quiet, so close to town. The apartment was exactly as shown in pictures and the few times I needed to reach Barbara, she returned our emails almost immediately and was very helpful.

We walked into town and ubered to a few places further away. For us, not having a car was fabulous! We were comfy and happy and enjoyed our stay in the apartment as well as the charming city of Charleston, very much!!!

Perfect Stay in Historic Charleston

  • 5 of 5

We came to Charleston to tour College of Charleston as a possibility for our daughter and could not have made a better choice in accommodations. The apartment is VERY large with three bedrooms and two bathrooms and even an additional double bed loft space that our younger daughter enjoyed even though she had another bed available to her. The apartment is in a beautiful historical residential area within a quick walk to College of Charleston and the downtown shops and restaurants. The kitchen was completely equipped with everything you would need to cook for a family.....BUT...there are so many fabulous restaurants in Charleston that I have to admit we only used it for breakfasts. The house spanning front porch was a real highlight in the evenings as we sat out there with drinks and rehashed the fun of our day. I highly recommend this rental. The owner was very quick to respond to our request and left all kinds of tourist information for us. If our daughter decides to go to school here, I know this will be our Home Away from Home for sure when we visit...probably more often than she would prefer!

Great location. Beautifully furnished. Great veranda, usually in the shade. Off street parking spot is a big plus. Only one shower; Second shower would be nice.

Great location and very nice decorating.

  • 5 of 5

We rented this apartment many times in the last few years and love it. The location is great, very quiet but still in walking distance to King or Meeting Street and all the good restaurants. The decor is very romantic, the kitchen is well stocked, there is even parking off street.

Porch sitting in style

  • 4 of 5

We loved the property which is across the street from a historic home. We sat on the second-floor porch for hours each morning and then again at night. The house is in the historic section, so it was convenient to walk up and down streets looking at houses and gardens.

The negatives: Should have been cleaner. The sink trap had food scraps in it (which is one of the things that gross me out in my own sink). We had to retrieve something from under a bed and found lots of dust there. Now, I live in an older home and I know how dust accumulates, so this was not a deal breaker for me. The sink trap was probably an oversight from the housecleaner.

Second: I received the door code and instructions to get in the house by e-mail. I expected a packet of information at the house, but there was nothing. We spent an hour trying to find the Wi-Fi information and only located it by accident. The password was scribbled in ink on a brochure from Xfinity inside the tv cabinet. By scribbled I mean that we had to try it two ways before it worked. There were no instructions about what to do before we left. Usually there is information about trash, dishwasher and even linens.

I would stay again in the same house and hopefully the owner will provide an information sheet for guests.
