Just around 3 hours flight separate us from Malaga on the Costa del Sol. With more than 320 sunny days per year the island bears the right name! About an hour from Malaga Airport, 20 min. from Gibraltar Airport and 1 hour 15 min. from Jerez de la Frontera away the apartment is located somewhat elevated with great view at the foot of the charming harbour Puerto de La Duquesa. To the left and right of the harbour extend long, sandy beaches. In the harbour there are numerous restaurants, shops and cafes, all within walking distance.
Whether beach holiday, incentive with the best colleagues, golf, biking, or hiking holiday - even skiing is remotely possible in Spain in the Sierra Nevada, about 2 hours drive away. If you want to have Great Britain flair, then travel to Gibraltar. Car rentals can be booked directly at the airport. The impressive rocks of the English territory of Gibraltar with Irish pubs and everything that feels like being in England - in addition to the monkeys roaming freely there - truly an interesting experience. Payment is done with the British pound! Even the airport, which the highway crosses with a traffic light control, is a unique experience, especially if a major British aircraft just landed.
Those who prefer to follow the celebrities, can go to Marbella 15 min away. George Clooney, Flavio Briatore and many other stars have their villas and yachts at Puerto Banus. A day trip to the African coast, which is even visible from Spain on a clear day, can be made by ferry. Cadiz is famous among surfers and kite surfers for its winds. About 1:30 drive from the property. Because of the west-side location of the Strait of Gibraltar, Cadiz actually lies on the Atlantic and not on the Mediterranean.
Do you want an exclusive holiday without crowded pools, beach chairs or beaches? We offer an intimate and exclusive location. The apartment has access to 3 pools directly from the terrace. The beach is about 2 minutes (by car and 15 min walk) away. On request a full refrigerator is possible to cater your self. Supermarkets and restaurants are, however, very nearby.

Found this apartment on Home and away site. It was ideally situated for us as our son lives two blocks down. The apartment was everything we hoped it would be, very clean upon arrival and nice little touches like a bottle of water in the fridge and tea bags and little cream cartons on the side. As an English man a cup of tea was needed on arrival so this was a bonus as we arrived on a Sunday and the local shops were closed.
We had requested from the owner extra linen so our grandchildren could stop with us and this was waiting for us upon arrival . All through the booking and after the owner Eva couldn't have been more helpful. We will deffinetly use the apartment again in the future should it be available.
The only downside to the apartment is that it is situated at the top of a hill which in August is a mare to walk up, I refuse to drive while I'm on Holiday because driving is a big part of my job. If you drive while your over there this is not a problem.
I can only confirm the several very positive reviews before this. This property does exactly what it says on the tin, and the owner's description is accurate in all respects, although I'd suggest the terrace enjoys views to the south-east and round to the south-west, meaning nearly all-day sun, although the size and depth of the terrace means there is not much DIRECT sun coming into the living room. In the summer months, this feature (i.e. the rooms remaining cool despite the sunshine) would probably be a much bigger advantage than during the autumn and winter seasons. The apartment is neat, sensibly laid out, very nicely furnished, and well-appointed all round.
Everything was as listed, and in good condition. WiFi is available and mobile WiFi using a prepaid SIM card, and good home entertainment facilities. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean on our arrival and the Urbanizacion Coto Real and the local agency Duquesa Estates both seemed to be well-run operations. When minor problems arose during our stay, they were handled promptly and with a smile - always a good sign.
The apartment looks out over several holes of the Duquesa Golf Course (not in great condition while we were staying - we played instead at Doña Julia in Casares Costa), and down to the sea and the attractive marina at Puerto de la Duquesa.
Yes, walking to the bars and restaurants in Duquesa or Sabinillas is perfectly do-able, although the return is uphill, but really one does need a car to get around here. Parking is possible in the garage or on the street by the front entrance. There are numerous swimming pools to choose from, though in November/December there were not many swimmers, despite some very warm days!
The owner communicated very well, and provided a wealth of information, making our stay very easy.
In terms of local sights, try to get up to the white hill town of Casares, which is remarkably well preserved. The old centre of Estepona also has some charming streets that have not lost their Spanish flavour. Macues on the waterfront in Puerto de la Duquesa is the standout local restaurant: "old school" service and excellent food in pleasant surroundings.
I would definitely recommend Casa Dolce Vita to anyone, with the possible exception of younger travellers seeking a busy clubbing nightlife: Coto Real is rather quiet (nicely so), as is the entire Western end of Andalucia in general. Torremolinos this is NOT. :-)
tolle Wohnung mit guter Ausstattung, direktem Zugang zum Pool. Einziger Kritikpunkt sind die etwas harten Betten.
Les piscines sont propres et la plage est à 5 mn en voiture. Restaurants au choix à proximité et Lidl est à 10 mn de la maison.
La résidence est sécurisée et très propre.
Zu der Wohnung wurden ja bereits einige Bewertungen abgegeben und besonders der von Irma S. möchte ich mich anschließen. Wir haben dort gerade 14 wunderschöne Tage verbracht. Ich kann dies nur bestätigen. Die Wohnung ist bestens ausgestattet und sehr gepflegt, die Lage passt und auch die Anlage wird bestens betreut. Die Vermieterin reagiert auf Fragen innerhalb kürzester Zeit sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Falls unser Urlaub uns noch mals an die Costa del Sol führen sollte, vielleicht schon nächstes Jahr, dann sicher wieder in diese Wohnung.
Die Wohnung ist für 4-6 Personen absolut Top, ruhige exklusive Lage und sehr gute Ausstattung, angenehme Atmosphäre durch liebevolle Details, TV,Internet und w-lan, traumhafte Gegend, ideal zum Entspannen und Erholen, mehrere Pools in verschiedenen Tiefen, daher auch für Kinder total empfehlenswert.
Von der Terasse und von den Pools ein gigantischer Meerblick.
Wohnung und Poolgelände sehr sauber und sehr gepflegt.
Ins Zentrum bzw. zur Hafen-Promenade in 10-15 Gehminuten,dort sind viele nette Restaurants mit speziellen Fischangeboten und sonstigen Köstlichkeiten.
Falls man sich jedoch weiter hinauswagt, egal ob man nach Casares, der weißen Stadt, nach Marbella, oder Richtung Gibraltar bis nach Tarifa (Mittelmeer und Atlantik treffen sich) fährt, ist die Wohnung dafür bestens geeignet.
Die Vermieterin steht mit Rat und Tat sehr hilfreich und angenehm zur Seite. Jede unserer Fragen, es waren viele, wurden zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit beantwortet.
Mein Mann und ich freuen uns jetzt schon auf den nächsten Traumurlaub in diesem herrlichen Feriendomizil.
