The Croatian port of Zadar has a rich history. The town was originally fortified by the Romans, whose buildings are partially preserved until today. After the decline of the Roman Empire changed the rule of the city several times. Lasting impression left behind primarily the Venetians. Large parts of the old town and also some apartments and holiday apartments in Zadar are influenced by the Venetian style. Since 1991, the city is part of Croatia.
The best time for holidays
As in all cities of Croatia the summer with an average temperature of about 30 ° C is extremely hot. More pleasant temperatures however prevail in late spring and in autumn. Getting there

A Arriving by train is possible, however, very time consuming and not recommended.
