Acacia house: A house from 1800, which, like all the houses of Skyros (a simple cube without exterior decorations), is a typical example of local architecture. Inside there are neoclassical elements, used certainly at an earlier renovation of the house. The recent refurbishment has transformed the old rooms for a pleasant and comfortable stay functional.
The house, built according to the natural slope of the ground, lies in the upper part of Chora, under the 'Kastro' (the Byzantine fortress) between the 'Kalderimi' (paved streets) where there are no cars.
On the lower floor, which has its own entrance from the side street, there is a large room, with the dining room, the fully equipped kitchen (with table top, kitchen countertops u. Skyros marble sink) and the bathroom. In this room, which has a high ceiling, exposed beams and antique typical for the island fireplace were obtained. Upstairs is the living room, furnished with modern and antique furniture, leads to a small terrace, which offers panoramic views over the village and the countryside to the sea in the distance.
There is the bedroom (double bed 140 cm wide) with a window on the charming terrace and finally the second bedroom (2 single beds) with a window on the street that leads to the fortress. The upper floor of the house, where air-conditioning is provided, both from the lower floor and from the road leading to the fortress, accessible.
Bed linen u. Towels are provided but no beach towels. Please note that pets are not allowed.
A car is not necessary for your vacation. However, if you want to discover all the beaches on the island, mopeds and cars are rented on the island.
