Our apartment is located south, away from any road where you can comfortably enjoy the evening in the summer on the terrace, in the winter there is a cozy fireplace for a romantic evening. By car you can drive into the underground garage .The apartment is equipped with a lift available. Sport and Wellness is assured them the free tennis court gym, sauna and indoor pool.

Great Location, close to Lucerne

We enjoyed a wonderful week in Rene's very clean and tidy apartment in Emmetten. The weather was perfect which allowed us to use the tennis court and go for long walks around the area. Lucerne is only 30 minutes away by car, an easy drive into the city center which we did twice. The roads around the area are narrow and there are some lovely drives providing outstanding views of Lake Lucerne. There a few cable cars nearby and a parasailing business offering tourist rides. We enjoyed watching the many parasailers every day flying over the apartment. What is not shown in the pictures is the wall to wall windows in the living room and bedroom making the apartment very bright. The patio is huge and we had dinner outside every night. The kitchen is small but functional and the room divider shelves provide lots of storage. The washer and dryer are in the basement and easy to use if needed. There is a small grocery store across the parking lot for necessary items, however there is a large Co-Op and Migros in Buochs, only 5 minutes away. Rene was very responsive both before and during our time in Emmetten and we highly recommend staying at his apartment. Thank you for everything Rene, it was a pleasure to meet you and your family. Pleasant apartment in a stunning area

Emmetten is a fantastic base to explore the surrounding area. We bought a five day pass, which allows you to travel by any mode of transport within that time. This includes train, bus, boat and cable car. Although expensive ( about £185 per person), it's definitely worth doing if you plan on getting out and about. We'd hired a car from Basle airport, but didn't need it all once we got to Emmetten. Swiss transport is a joy to use. So punctual and clean. There is a bus stop just across the road from the apartment, which allows you to get to Beckenried just down the hill and Luzern. It takes about 45 mins to get to Luzern by bus and train (station at Stans). The day we went, we got the boat back from Luzern to Beckenried.

Luzern is beautiful and well worth a visit. In addition to visiting Luzern, we went up Titlis, a very high mountain of approximately 3000m in height. A revolving gondola takes you on the final ascent to the top, where there are spectacular views. It is very busy here though, with an abundance of tourists.

Burgenstock, is worthy of a visit too. Spectacular views with lots of surrounding views. Not as touristy as Titlis.

Rigi, too, is another high mountain to visit. A mountain train takes you to the top. Again, this is quite busy with plenty of tourists.

The aforementioned 5 day pass, gets you up all these peaks, with nothing else to pay, unless you want to buy food at the top.

The apartment itself was perfect for our needs. If I was to criticise anything, it would be just to say that it was slightly under-equipped. There was no frying pan, for example, nor a long, sharp cutting knife. Also no beer glasses. Other than that, the apartment was very clean with perfect wifi and lovely shower room. Oh, one other thing was that we had trouble using the communal washing machine. You need a special sort of key to slot into an electrical box in the wash room. We didn't have one to start with, so a Swiss lady kindly lent me hers. The owner did bring us the key the next day, but it didn't seem to work and again we had to borrow a neighbour's key. All rubbish must be put in a red bag for disposal. We only got one bag and it was a challenge to cram everything into it for the week.

The apartment is right next to a cable car and from there's out can explore the alpine pastures.

There is a small supermarket across from the apartment, which was adequate for our needs. Expensive though, but then most things are in Switzerland

Wegen dem Waschmaschinen-Schlüssel welcher nicht funktioniert hat wir natürlich nachgeschaut. Die Bratpfannen befinden sich in der Schublade unter dem Backofen. (Sie sind aber nicht die ersten welche die Pfannen nicht gefunden haben) , werden uns Mühe geben diese Schublade beim zeigen der Wohnung mehr Bedeutung zu schenken. Wünsche Ihnen eine schöne Weiterreise. Mit lieben Grüssen

One splendid holiday in Emmetten

All family enjoyed our summer holiday in Emmetten. People are polite, lift cabines are very near closed to the appartment, a lot of picturesque views to the lake, for sure we want to be every our holiday at the same place in Switzerland. Thanks to Rene and his kind people! Milena and Blago

Beautiful place to stay

The apartment was perfect for us, 2 adults and 1 child. We had plenty of space to feel like we were at home, everything was clean and well kept and we took advantage of having a kitchen as we have a young child so didn't want to go out for meals in the evening. The swimming pool downstairs was a great advantage too as a back up incase the weather was bad. Fortunately for us the weather was mostly beautiful and allowed us to explore the local area and beyond. Situated right next to a cable car up the mountain where there are lots of walks (we were there in May so no snow but stunning views and lovely walks). The owners were quick to answer any questions we had and we would definitely recommend staying there, particularly, if like us, you want to get away from tourist crowds. We loved it!

Convenient location in a beautiful setting.

This apartment worked out well for our trip to Switzerland. Even though it only has one bedroom it worked for our family of 4. The master bedroom is large and has plenty of closet space to hang your clothes. Our children were able to sleep in the living area as the bed has two separate mattresses. The dining area had plenty of room for us to sit at the table and eat any meals we prepared at the apartment. Although we did not use the spacious patio, if the weather had been a little warmer we would have used the grill and had an American BBQ. The pool and sauna were a nice feature that we used one rainy afternoon after we came back from a long hike. We were also thankful for the washer and dryer as we packed lightly.

Pros: Very clean apartment, large master bedroom, kitchen, pool and sauna, large patio, indoor parking, beautiful setting, grocery store nearby, information center nearby, laundry facility on-site, hiking trails nearby.

Nice place in Emmeten

We spent a splendid summer time in Emmeten apartment. The location description in HomeAway was quite accurate. The property was well maintained and cleaned. Large terrace, spacy bathroom and cosy kitchen. We liked the restaurants nearby, church bell and fresh air.

For sure, we do recommend to all our friends the place in Emmeten.
