Cozy Log Cabins located in the Green Mountains of Vermont

Bedrooms 1
Property type cabin

About the property

1+ bedroom, 1 full bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, mountain views

What a great place to escape from it all! Sleep in one of our very own hand-hewn log cabins situated on 232 acres of land. Walk into a charming country kitchen, fully equipped with everything you need to make a romantic dinner or just relax in the cozy living area with your favorite book by the wood-burning stove.

Early summer evenings are best enjoyed while rocking on the covered porch with a glass of cool lemonade watching the wind rustle through the leaves as deer graze nearby.

If you are the more adventurous type; enjoy a stroll down to the pond and ride on the paddle boat perhaps catching a glimpse of the wild geese and Mallards who visit there, or hike one of our many, beautiful woodland trails. Picnics are 'a must' with the outdoor grills and picnic tables we provide.

Rest, relax and enjoy your vacation in one of the most serene and beautiful settings Vermont has to offer. Your vacation to Birch Meadow will be one of your most treasured memories!

The property is gorgeous. Tucked away in a wooded area - we got there as it was snowing - PERFECT!

When we arrived, we talked to Mary and she was extremely nice and welcoming. The cottage was prestine with everything you would need for cooking/baking and showers. There were also extra linens on top of the furnished beds. There were clear instructions on how to use the wood burner as well as a binder with detailed information about local restaurants and tourist areas. The cottage was cozy and gave the quintessential experience of staying in a cabin in the woods.

Comfortable pleasant cabin

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at the Bears Den cabin, the more private of the 3, in the middle of the summer. It was exactly as described - no surprises. It was a pleasant experience for the price. It's surrounded by trees so there wasn't much of a view. We did enjoy the privacy and the beauty of the trees and plants though. The rocking chairs were comfortable – we enjoyed the rain while sitting on the porch. We walked down to the pond but found that the grass was too high to walk around much. I think that the walls and ceilings could use a bit of cleaning - there were some cobwebs and dust accumulated on the logs. I would also have preferred some walking paths and trails close to the cabin.

Cabin in the woods

  • 5 of 5

A long weekend with my mom and sister could not have been better! Especially after we drove up to our cabin in the woods. It was even better than the pictures. So homey and every room was spotless. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cups, utensils, pots and pans; even pancake mix and maple syrup was on the kitchen table when we arrived. Fresh towels and linens were also provided. Campfire wood was stacked and ready to go. Beautiful setting, birds singing, flowers blooming, horses in the field and a visiting bunny while we were having dinner on the porch. The owners were very nice and checked in on us too. We can't wait to go back and bring the whole family!!

Thanks again from the CT girls.

Relaxing Getaway

  • 5 of 5

I was impressed with Mary and my stay at the log cabin. I was just needing to get away from the real world and needed to get grounded back in nature-- this was the perfect place to do that. Mary was very attentive but also gave me my privacy, which I appreciated. Being able to bring my dogs was a bonus and they enjoyed the beauty of Mary's property as well.

A great place to rest

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time staying here. We had a different cabin this time and found it to be just as comfortable as the other we stayed in last year. It's amazing how dark and quiet the nights are. The daylight brings such beauty that just makes you stop, breathe in the fresh air and look around in amazement that such a place still exists. It was a welcomed break. Mary and her husband are lovely people who put a great deal of work into keeping the property in pristine condition. This property is perfect for couples or families wanting a little peace and quiet.
