My wife and I spent a week in this apartment, mid September 2016, and had a very quiet restful time time. We are not golfers but really appreciated the cared for grounds. The apartment is clean, quite well equipped though the kitchen lacks any real space to prepare meals. The views from the balcony overlooking the pool and golf course are what really make this location. The balcony is a great place to sit and eat, drink and chat – though the outside furniture needs some TLC.
There is a bar and restaurant on site a few hundred yards away and an excellent clean and well-kept pool (One of 19 on the complex), which could have been better appreciated if there were decent sun beds available to use and some shade was provided around the pools – perhaps something the owners committee could look into.
The Mar Menor is about 15mins away by car, on a very good road, and so it is not far to several beaches and water sports. Sucina is about a mile away where there are shops, bars and restaurants. Five minutes drive out the back of the complex you enter into the hills on a more scenic route to Murcia (Take care here as there are a lot of organized cycle rides/training – especially on a weekend and it is easy to end up in the middle of them – as we did). We found a couple of short walks here, the boards showing them were all in Spanish so it was useful to have a phone with a translation app to glean the route and key info. On one walk we watched a falcon hunting amongst the trees for a good 10 minutes, which was a rare treat.
When we arrived and were met by Diane the key holder. Diane was excellent in getting us in and settled and in responding to any questions we had. We made contact with Diane via text before we arrived so she knew when to expect us. There is plenty of parking on the complex and 24 hour security.
Overall, a very quiet and peaceful stay. If you play golf I was informed by a couple that had played all the local courses that this is one of the best.
