This large, beautifully furnished 4 bedroom/3 bath split level island home is located 50 yards from sparkling Baby Beach (a quiet, protected blue lagoon in the heart of Poipu Beach). It's been completely upgraded throughout the home and looks like new! This home is privately owned and we offer our guests the best rate on the island for a large home. My name is Shelley and I am the owner's Executive Assistant and also the property manager of his family vacation home. I have managed the property for the past 9 years and have had the opportunity to spend a great deal of time in Kauai and have great friendships with some of the local islanders. I depend on the help of a couple of local residents to maintain the home, and this allows me to to successfully manage the property. One of the greatest perks of my job is that I get to visit Kauai often and I have experienced many of the great adventures to be had on the island.
It is truly a home away from home. The owner visits the home on a regular basis and makes sure it has everything you need while you are away from home. There is a BBQ grill on the lanai for cookouts and plenty of kitchenware to cook your meals at home. The home has plenty of space for a group of people to enjoy while still offering their own privacy and the home is situated on a large piece of property with a private backyard that is large enough to play volleyball or badminton. There are plenty of beach toys and gear including fins, chairs, coolers, umbrella, and even bicycles for our guests to use. It is located in one of the nicest neighborhoods on the island and is just a short walk down the block from Baby Beach, which is a quiet little beach that is perfect for small children. There is also plenty of parking in the driveway for at least 4 or more vehicles. You will hate to leave by the end of your stay.
The home is great for a large family group. The downstairs is a private space with a bedroom, living room, bathroom and wet bar to give grandparents or those wishing for more privacy their own space while still being able to join the others upstairs in the main living area of the home. The morning walks along Lawai Road to Spouting Horn are a great way to start the day.
Just a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed your beautiful home on Kaua'i. The house was everything we could have wished for. We would surely rent from you again. It was the perfect place to spend our 40th anniversary, something we will cherish for a long time.
The house was great, pictures depict it very well. This house is a 90 second walk to Baby Beach, which is a terrific spot for young kids and a great place to watch the sunset. It is also a short walk up to the shops and restaurants and a short drive to a few other great beaches. The location of the house seemed to be in a quieter region of the island, which was nice. The garage full of sand toys, boogie boards and snorkel gear was a great bonus! Would definitely recommend this house to others, it suited our group of 7 adults and 2 toddlers very well.
What a great place to stay for our family vacation. Plenty of room for all us. We will definitely be back to stay again next year.
This could not have been better for the 8 of us and a baby. Nice private lower apartment with rest of bedrooms and kitchen upstairs. Perfect for meeting up and being together for our family reunion. The location alone get lots of kudos; quiet little street between beaches and stores/restaurants. I hope to be here again this time next year.
We were a party of 9, one family with 2 kids, 2 couples and a single adult. The downstairs bedroom, bathroom, kitchen were perfect for the family with kids, king size bed and pull out couch in another room for the kids. They had their own space and their own kitchen, away from everyone else. Upstairs, 2 double bedrooms and a twin bedded room were fine for the rest. There was a big living room and a modern kitchen. The property was perfectly situated, a short waking distance from the beach and shopping. The setting was true to the pictures, a great view both front and back, no hidden surprises. Good adjacent neighbors and parking that easily accommodated 3 big cars (room for 4). Huge double car garage would make room for 6 cars. Location was ideal. One of the upstairs bedrooms had its own bath and the other 2 shared a “Jack and Jill bathroom”. There was lots of space and the beds were comfortable. Overall, this was a great place to stay. A few minor maintainence issues that were quickly addressed by the management company. The only negative was the slow and somewhat quirky DSL internet. If you planned to come to Hawaii to do lots of work on the internet instead of seeing the island, you will be disappointed. The owners assisted us with arranging a place to stay after checkout and before our late night flight. This was far above and beyond the call of duty. We were very pleased.
Nice house in a great location. Easy access to Baby Beach, Poipu, and Koloa Town. Our only complaint relates to the dishwasher. It is extremely difficult to load because, as installed, it does not fully open which makes loading and unloading extremely difficult. Have notified the owner of the problem and asked that it be fixed. If this is important to you, ask about repair before renting.
We recently stayed at this home with two other couples. There were six of us. It was very spacious and very comfortable. Everyone had a wonderful time! The house has a great kitchen and plenty of supplies. We cooked a lot of meals there and it worked out great! The beds are very comfortable also. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and the location is very close to shopping and restaurants. It was a perfect vacation! We would definitely stay at this property again!
Spouting Horn is nearby and is the perfect spot to walk to in the morning along Lawai Road.
