Situated approximately half way between the historic medieval towns of Duras and Monségur, this three bedroom holiday home is set back from the road by about 50m and nestled in ¾ acre of private grounds. The well-kept garden is perhaps one of the best features of the property and it includes lawns dotted with colourful ornamental shrubs and trees, particularly around the very pleasant and relaxing pool area. It may come as no surprise that the patio area by the pool is a wonderful spot to enjoy alfresco dining. Alternatively, head inside to the conservatory or the living area.
The surrounding countryside is mainly home to orchards with fields or maize or sunflowers. In the summer there are many musical or cultural events in the Château at Duras or in the bars and streets. The region has many small, family owned restaurants with tables set in shaded squares where you can enjoy good food and wine at very reasonable prices and the well-known sites in the Dordogne are an easy drive away.
