This triplex apartment is unique: 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 3 toilets in the best location of Montmartre facing the Montmartre Museum in a calm street and 2 steps from the Sacré Coeur Basilic. It is linked to a Haussmanian type building but entrance is totaly independant. Like a house in Paris.

Set over 3 floors (basement, first floor, second floor), this wooden floored apartment can accommodate up to 8 guests (6 adults max and 2 children). The apartment is 140 m². The common space consists of a large living room open on a private courtyard with greeneries, an wide open kitchen / dining area and a basement recreational/bedroom area with extra spleeping space on the sofa as well as large storage area. The character of this triplex makes it unique.

On entering the apartment you will find a flight of stairs going upwards in front and another to the right going down. On taking the short flight of stairs up you will arrive at the first floor which is approx 2 meters higher than the street level. Thanks to the huge bay windows of both sides, the apt bathes in natural light.

The first floor is divided into:

- The living room

- The open kitchen / dining area

- Toilet

- Bedroom 1 with en-suite bathroom

The living room is bright and spacious, and offers comfortable sofas, a centre table and a modern chimney (for decoration only). It gives a very warm feeling thanks to the red colour pieces of furniture and its direct view and access to the courtyard surrounded with greeneries.

The modern open kitchen, located to the left, is organised lengthwise. It is intelligently conceived so as to make maximum use of the available space. It has a long ilot with bar and is fully equipped for preparing your favourite meals. All equipments are top notch. The washer and the drier are hidden in a large closet.

To the left of the kitchen itself develops the dining area, facing a large window with curtains. It can comfortably seat up to 8 guests.

The architect managed openings from the living room to the kitchen so that one can always see what is happening in the other space.

To the right of the kitchen a small corridor leads to the master bedroom. Just before, immediately to the left, you will find a toilet.

Breakfast will not get any better - You can begin your day with croissants and a hot cup of coffee in the private courtyard in the morning. The Master bedroom stays along the courtyard. It offers direct view and access to it through a typical painters’ studio glass door. The bedroom offers a comfortable queen-size bed and an en-suite tiled bathroom which offers a shower and a vanity area. The bedroom offers a wardrobe.

The private courtyard, a unique benefit of this Parisian triplex, is located on the first floor. Its area is around 35m2. It can be accessed from the living room, the kitchen area and the bedroom. It is equipped with tables and chairs and is perfect for a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing.

The 2nd Floor :

Towards the back of the kitchen, a flight of stairs leads to the 2nd floor.

It has a corridor and offers 2 bedrooms, one full bathroom with a toilet and storage.

The first door to the right leads to Bedroom 2. The bedroom is incredibly bright thanks to its 2 large windows that offer a clear view of the rooftops. The bedroom will offers a comfortable double bed (was ordered but presently a single bed ask to confirm), storage space.

The next door to the left leads to Bedroom 3. This bedroom is more tuned to welcome 2 children. It offers 2 comfortable single beds (presently a single bed ask to confirm), storage space and 2 windows that overlooks the private courtyard. A nice baby bed is present in the bedroom (ask to confirm).

Left at the end of the corridor is the second bathroom which offers a shower, with a vanity area and a toilet.

The Basement :

The fourth bedroom is an open bedroom located in basement. One accesses this bedroom by using the staircase right of the apartment entrance. Bedroom 4 offers a comfortable high quality queen-size sofa bed. It also profits from natural light, thanks to the huge bay windows along the staircase wall and offers a sliding door.

Walking across the bedroom and once passed the sliding doors, is a corridor with storage space all along the wall. To the left of the corridor is located the 3rd mosaic tiled bathroom. This bathroom offers a shower, a vanity area and a toilet.

On exiting the apt, you will find yourself directly opposite the “Montmartre Museum”. Going right will take you to the “Place du Tertre” in a minute, where the painters will draw your portrait and the “Sacre Coeur” Basilic with is large gardens. To the left, you have the “Avenue Junot”, the most prestigious location in Montmartre passing nearby the “Montmartre’s vines”.

The apartment is a non-smoking apartment and its location is a perfect base to visit Paris. It stays 15 minute by subway to most interesting Paris locations AND is a very charming and restful area to be appreciated after a whole day shopping and walking through museums.

Neighborhood:

- Montmartre is a village within Paris: it combines the atmosphere of an ancient village with trendy shops and fabulous restaurants. Many artists and movie stars live in the district. It is a very charming and restful area to be appreciated after a whole day shopping and walking through museums.

- As you walk through Montmartre you will pass many winding and picturesque streets with fascinating houses, stairs and wonderful views over Paris. Look for the Montmartre Vineyard, walk to 'Place du Tertre' where artists will offer to draw your portrait and see Picasso’s house and the Salvador Dali museum. Visit the famous Sacre Coeur Moorish-looking church.

- On the 'Rue des Abbesses' you will discover shops, cafes and clothing stores and in 'Rue Lepic' you will come across the market, wine shops - the cheese shop was rated n° 3 in France – bakeries and charcuteries. It’ll take a few days to select your preferred “café” !!! Walk down to the Moulin Rouge and experience the Paris nightlife.

- The Champs-Elysees is only a ten-minute Metro ride; the Eiffel Tower, Le Marais, Les Halles, and Saint-Germain are all between 15- 20 minutes from Abbesses.

Great location in Paris!

We enjoyed staying in the Montmartre apartment for a week during a recent visit to France. We had 4 adults and 3 teenagers enjoy the bedrooms and living spaces - the kitchen was well-equipped and the space had a large living room, dining room/table and a charming courtyard. We loved being right around the corner from the Sacre Couer and right across the street from the Montmartre museum, a must see (includes Renoir's art studio among other highlights). The apartment is located on a quieter side street, although there was some construction going on next door and their were some kids and tourists walking by late at night, so we definitely got a dose of Paris big city life. We were there over a hot few days, so we left our windows open, which also added to the noise late at night. Even with the city noise, I would recommend the apartment for its great location and optimal space for a large group. We also found the metro stop easy to get to, and we found an excellent bakery for our daily croissants and bread.

In Beau Paris - 18th arrond - Montmartre

The house was perfect for our group of 6 adults. This apt is more than adequate for 6 to 8 people, or even as few as 4 so that each person has their own room. It was nice to have the private courtyard, although we spent so much time out and about town, that we didn't use it as much as I would have liked. We enjoyed the home. The downside is that there is no air conditioning or fans. The home needs at least a fan for each room in the middle of the summer.

Luckily the block was not very crowded or noisy, like the streets that are near this apt.

Transportation:

The option for the bus, which was one block away, was convenient. If you did not want to walk up and down the stairs and hills, you could easily take a bus down or up.

The metro stations were not very close, but about a 10 min walk.

If you are not in the best shape, the walking can be a challenge because it is hilly, however, if you do not want to leave the area, you don't have to. Everything is nearby!

I would visit this home/apt again. I would refer people and if I ever have a group of 4 - 8 people, I would come back.

The only other downside is the key pick-up and drop-off. There should be a lock box at the location or the realtor/manager should provide the courtesy of dropping it off to make it easier for the traveler. It was not a convenient process upon arrival, not knowing the location, and definitely not easy upon departure at 5 am in the morning, when taxi drivers do not want to make multiple stops.

Lovely, Roomy, Apartment in Great Location

My family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids - 16, 14, 12) loved this apartment for our recent stay in Paris. The house has plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms so everyone can have their space, and all the modern conveniences of home including washer/dryer, dishwasher, full modern kitchen, etc. The house is right next to Sacré Coeur and teeming with artists, cafes, and musicians in the evening. Opposite is the Montmartre Museum, home to many famous artists and now full of history on the area. Access to public transport by bus or metro is very easy to all the other attractions of Paris.

Only a few minor issues to note: no air conditioning but we didn't need it even in June as there are lots of windows and breezes; a bit of water damage on some of the walls which doesn't effect anything except aesthetics; the self check-in and out process is a bit laborious as you have to collect the key from a lock box in another location which involves and extra stop on your way to and from the apartment and while it may make things easier for the management company, isn't particularly helpful to the guests; there was a fair bit of noise at night from rowdy revelers coming from the nearby square, and early morning trash pick-up on the street. We found it a bit ironic that there were so many reminders in the apartment to be quiet when the area was anything but. All that being said, this is a really fabulous location and apartment and I would highly recommend it for families with children and adults.

Perfect location with lots of room!

Great location, 1 block from Sacre Coeur and many great cafes. Our family of 6 loved the area. It was a short walk to the metro which is very easy to use.i definitely reccomend you choose this location.

Nice but complicated.

The property is spacious, well-located and beautiful - it was the perfect setting for our family reunion but it comes with a set of complications that would have been easily avoided had we stayed at a hotel. Starting with getting the keys from another location after following a long list of instructions. When you land in Paris at 7am, have a few suitcases and a young child, the last thing you want to do is hunt for keys to check into your accomodation. I really wished someone would have met us with the keys at the property and checked that everything was as planned. In our case it wasn't: we were 9 staying at the property but the place was set up for 6, so not enough towels, which was resolved after some back and forthing. Then you have the matter of the TV, phone and garbage disposal code, which were not working either. A technician was sent and the TV worked eventually but we ended up throwing the garbage in the neighbours' bin. Then you had check out at 10 am (option of leaving suitcases behind was provided but there was no point using it) before dropping the keys back at the other location - where I spent a good 10 minutes trying to fit 3 keys in a box that can only hold 2 while the taxi waited (and the meter ran) downstairs. The owner eventually heard me swear, opened his door and took the keys himself. Overall, we made the best out of our stay. The rooms were comfortable, with enough bathrooms for everyone and a nice little terrace. Looking back though, we would definitely stay at a hotel next time.

As you can see per the 20 previous positive reviews, our guests mainly enjoy the apartment and our services. We have mainly very positive feedback on the possibility to pick up the keys at any time in a very nearby area (no need to climb with your luggage). It does avoid waiting times when there is traffic, flight delay or even refusing stays for guests arriving at 1am or leaving on 4am. I understand there are some drawbacks but you will probably admit that it mainly presents advantages. Renting an apartment is obviously not like renting an hotel and we have to follow some specific less flexible rules, particularly concerning check in and out time. You will note that we provided an early check-in to help, normal check in time being 2pm like most agencies, which most often do not offer this possibility. We also offered a luggage storage on check out. We do our best to help and offer extra flexibility whenever possible. On another end we believe we showed flexibility on accepting your party of 9 guests when it was booked for 6. We were alble to discuss with the owner and get his acceptance as we defended there were 3 kids. Otherwise little issue like the phone always happen. It has been fixed quickly after testing. We of course understand that you would have preferred an hotel. Obviously for the same high standard accommodation, hotel cost in Paris would have been three time the price for less space and no possibility for cooking at home. Renting an apartment is a totally different kind of experience, there are plus and minuses. Sincerely, Jean

Dream vacation atop Montmartre

From the moment we (3 couples) arrived, we knew we were in for a treat. This gorgeous apartment has it all: plenty of room for everyone, a shower for each couple (shared WC on the top floor, FYI), a fabulous kitchen with all the accouterments, a washer and a dryer (big bonus in Paris)--all in top condition. Super-comfortable beds, loads of storage for luggage and clothes, too. The best part, for us, was the location, which is literally at the top of Paris. While this area tends to be noisy, the street where the apartment is located is not, and the double-paned windows make it even better. Two of the bedrooms are on the private courtyard, so they were completely quiets. While the apartment is located right next to the Basilica, which is quite a climb from the nearest metros and even from the funicular, there is a bus (Montmartrobus) that stops literally around the corner and takes you to either side of the Butte Montmartre (helpful when buying groceries). In short, there are not enough stars to rate this apartment or the service we received!
